Each year 1,000 new cases of HIV are diagnosed in Australia and there's still no cure for the disease, but the transmission of the disease is preventable which is why education surrounding HIV/AIDS is so important. In honour of World Aids Day this Thursday, L’Oréal is throwing open the doors to its headquarters and inviting the general public to book 15 minute styling sessions ($10) or 30-minute wash and blow-dries ($20) with all money going towards the Hairdressers Against AIDS prevention and education programme. They'll also be heaps of old and new stock from Kérastase Paris, Redken, L’Oréal Professionnel and Matrix, with products starting at $3 each, so if you're in Melbourne make sure you head down, get primped and show your support.
