Now THIS is how you get ready for a party! When we saw the sweet selfie of The Man Repeller's Leandra Medine, designer Rebecca Minkoff and supe' Hilary Rhoda en route to yesterday's CFDA Awards we had no idea they'd just wrapped filming this hilarious cover of Carly Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe". The fashionable trio lip sync and get their groove on with the aid of their hair and makeup team, sipping champagne and having a grand ol' time. Keep a look out for the too-cute cameo by Minkoff's adorable son, and some running-man moves by Medine.
Following yesterday's CFDA Awards, many of the celeb attendees gathered for an after party at the Top of the Standard. Kate Bosworth was in a cut-out gown from designer Joseph Altuzarra, and she sent a tweet of congrats after he nabbed a womenswear designer award. She wrote, "So proud of my friend tonight." Rachel Zoe, in her own design, mingled with the star-studded crowd. A Proenza Schouler-clad Dakota Fanning made the rounds alongside Lily Collins, who wore Marchesa. Sophia Bush was also on hand to celebrate, and she showed some skin in a tangerine David Meister Signature.
Others who reported to the Standard for cocktails included Mad Men's Jessica Paré, in Jason Wu, and a Kaufmanfranco-clad Julianne Hough. One person absent from all the celebrating was Johnny Depp, recipient of this year's fashion icon award. Director John Waters accepted Johnny's honour, since the actor is off on set in the Navajo Nation. Click through to see more pictures and check out all the 2012 CFDA winners.
Yesterday's CFDA Awards gala brought out a bevy of stunning looks from celebrities, models and designers to honour the year's most talented in the industry. Jessica Chastain presented the womenswear designer of the year award, dressed in Prabal Gurung, Kate Bosworth showed off her style cred in a cut-out Altuzarra, and Mandy Moore shined in a Grecian-inspired dress by Lela Rose. It was a gorgeous fashion affair to remember, and now, it's time to announce the winners of the 2012 CFDA Awards. Congratulations to all!
