Kate Moss and Jamie Hince attended the James Small show during London's Fashion Week for the second season running. They checked out his Fall offerings back in February, and yesterday were on hand to see James's latest tailored offerings. Kate and Jamie also stuck around for the after party with Kate's pals Sadie Frost, Meg Mathews and Annabelle Neilson. LFW is coming to a close, and the stylish fun has already continued in Milan. Kate kicked off the English shows by hosting a 10-year anniversary party with Rimmel last week. Kate and Kristen Stewart also attended the Mulberry show and caused quite a scene by lending their combined star power to creative director Emma Hill's front row.
Following on from the star-studded front rows of New York Fashion Week, its British counterpart London Fashion Week has also had plenty of well-dressed celebrities in attendance at the shows. Kristen Stewart and Kate Moss made an exciting pair early on at Mulberry, where Kristen showed off her long hair extensions for her role as Snow White. Pippa Middleton showed her support for Temperley, while Burberry continued to prove why it’s one of LFW’s main attractions with a front row that included Sienna Miller, Kanye West, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Gemma Arterton. Kristen Stewart posed on her way into Mulberry's London Fashion Week after party on Sunday. She changed into denim and a sweater for the festivities after donning a dress to sit front row to see the collection earlier in the evening. Kristen Stewart and Kate Moss were seated together at the show, and Kristen showed off her long, darker hairstyle that she later twisted into a side braid. The new 'do is for Kristen's Snow White character, which she took a break from to attend the fashion fun. She's been filming the movie in the UK for the past few months and got a sweet visit from boyfriend Robert Pattinson before he returned to LA just last week. Rob made it back to the West Coast just in time for the Emmys, and though he didn't attend the show, Rob was spotted at Jimmy Fallon's after party at Trousdale.
Inspired by the British seaside and all the campy fun that comes with it — donkey rides, ice cream, and too cute rain gear (it does rain alot in the UK!). That said, the palette was sweet as candy — literally — the colours are named lemon sherbet, candy pink, and marshmallow white. The style is playful, but luxurious — there are raincoats, many of them with oversized silhouettes or super-short lengths and paired with long dresses and skirts. It's a mix and match style that manages to be sporty, but totally feminine thanks to details like lace applique and silky fabrics. Mulberry is known for accessories, and the new travel collection, inspired by vintage steamer trunks, features metal corners and a luggage tag. Inspired by the prizes won along beach-side arcades, Mulberry added teddy rivets and twist locks to the iconic Alexa and Lily style.
Pippa Middleton claimed a coveted front row spot at yesterday's Temperley show during London Fashion Week. Pippa, who just turned 28 earlier this month, took a break from her busy work schedule to take in the runway presentation. She and her sister, Kate Middleton, are fans of the British brand, and Pippa's green dress at her sister's wedding reception was a Temperley design. Pippa had a friend by her side, and was seated next to Rosario Dawson, but Kate didn't join her sister for the stylish event. The Duchess of Cambridge is forgoing Fashion Week in favour of focusing on her latest charitable effort. Kate and Prince William are opening a cancer-treatment centre for children, but even though she may be absent from the front row at LFW, Kate's Alexander McQueen wedding gown remains one of the most memorable style moments of the past year. More than 350,000 visitors stopped by Buckingham Palace over the past few months to catch a glimpse of the dress in person!
We're used to see fashion royalty at Fashion Week, but Pippa Middleton added some real regal glamour when she took in the Temperley London Spring 2012 show at London Fashion Week yesterday! Pippa sported the signature Middleton makeup look — under-eye kohl, a flush of blush and a slick of gloss, but she did make a few changes for the f'row, adding a curl throughout the ends of her hair (though it seems like she missed a section) and sexing up her look with a wash of black eyeshadow. Matthew Williamson delivered his signature bohemian glamour for Spring 2012 via lush prints and floaty dresses; he also offered more structured options for the boho-glam working girl. Colour was a big story — think tropical island hus like aqua, papaya, sunny yellow, and palm-frond green. But Williamson's fun-loving, gorgeous dresses were styled with structured blazers; a series of silky full-length shirts paired with bright blazers; and there were bold coloured trousers mixed with silky blouses as modelled by Catherine McNeil — who made her runway return after a two year hiatus. All in all it was signature Williamson; bright, breezy and polished boho perfection.
