Well, if anyone knows how to celebrate in style, it's Mr Giorgio Armani. On Friday, the iconic designer's work was feted in front of one of the most star-studded and stylish crowds we've seen in a long time. With a long runway show displaying some of the best work he's created for his couture collection, Armani Privé, guests were dazzled by the sheer volume of pieces, and the details in them. Here, we've selected images of the best pieces on the runway, and a gallery of all the stars — including Leonardo DiCaprio, Coco Rocha, Carine Roitfeld and more — who came to check it out. Click through to see it all, or jump to the section you want.
We don't think we've ever seen Olivia Palermo in an outfit we didn't love — or want to re-create. We watched The City just to see what she'd wear every week; now we can get our style fix watching her front row at Fashion Weeks around the world, playing dress-up for Oscar de la Renta as the face of the designer's Outnet collection, or strolling the streets of New York City alongside beau Johannes Huebl. And now we have news she's bring her stellar style to Australia. With that in mind, we've put together an Olivia Palermo look book — complete with every one of the fashion darling's eclectic, cool, and utterly chic ensembles this year (so far). Click through for some very stylish eye candy, and garner a little outfit inspiration straight from the always best-dressed Olivia Palermo.
Even Giorgio Armani, who's as venerable as designers get, will engage with a theme. His Spring 2014 Emporio Armani collection took on the flowers that have been coming down runways all over the world by washing them out and cutting them into pants and shirts or flattening their petals and applying them in stylised patterns to blazers and dresses.
But even with all those flowers, this collection was more a statement on proportion and colour than it was on gardening. Armani's black lacquered runway played host to a variety of colours, from petal pink to black velvet. Armani masterfully cut those materials into wide-leg pants, generously tailored jackets, and a variety of shapes that floated away from the body.
Emporio Armani's Autumn/Winter 2013 runway collection was full of sartorial references to the decadence of the roaring '20s — Daisy Buchanan eat your heart out! Cloche hats, drop-waist dresses and luxurious fabrics suggested an air of opulence, yet thanks to Mr Armani's streamlined aesthetic the lineup was firmly anchored in the modern age, too. The first images from the A/W ad campaign hit our inbox this morning, and we're excited to share a sneak peak at both the womenswear and menswear lines. Your exclusive preview awaits. . .
For months we've been inundated with pictures of celebs wearing chunky metal- and plastic-strap watches... and while we're still into heavy-duty arm-candy, we're keeping watch (sorry) on their more simplified and classic counterparts — think sleek leather straps and plain (but never boring) faces. Led by Isabel Marant's super simple take on the classic (inspired by her father!) and worn by Miranda Kerr, it's clear that these watches are going to be the look du jour come spring time. Naturally, we're going to help you out by shortlisting a bunch of our faves — click through to get shopping!
The 2012 Do Something Awards brought out a slew of hotly-hued red carpet looks in Santa Monica today, reminding us that Spring is most definitely on its way. Kristen Bell worked a multi-coloured Jenny Kane Resort '13 sheath, Olivia Munn and Maria Menounos both opted for poke-your-eye fuchsia pink minis, Sophia Bush stood out in a tangerine floor-length number and Aubrey Plaza kept cool in cobalt. There was respite from the technicolour display however, with Lea Michele (in Armani), Giuliana Rancic, Nikki Reed and Ashley Greene all going for more subdued neutral hues. Step on up to get a better look at today's tasty red carpet treats!
Last time we saw Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel, they were working coordinating looks in taupe tones for the Total Recall photocall. However, these leading ladies took distinctly different approaches to their red carpet looks for yesterday's red carpet premiere in LA. Jessica opted for a sugary-sweet frock from Christian Dior Couture's A/W '12 collection, designed by Raf Simons. Louis Vuitton cap-toed pumps and statement jewels from Tom Binns amped up her look. Kate on the other hand was dark and dangerous in a reptilian Armani Privé gown, black Brian Atwood pumps and Lorraine Schwartz jewellery. The cutest thing is seeing these two gal-pals comparing outfits on the red rug, ain't that sweet? Step inside to see each get-up properly, then tell us which one floats your boat.
We're seeing fresh fragrances take on spicy scents in the battle to be crowned Best Men's Fragrance in the 2012 BellaSugar Beauty Awards. Who will take out the title? Well that's for you to decide! Pick from: Gucci Guilty Pour Homme, a sexy award-winning scent that opens with notes of Italian lemon, mandarin, crushed green leaves and a pop of pink pepper, Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb which was created by perfumer Olivier Polge as the male version of Flowerbomb, Guess Seductive Homme which certianly seduces the senses with its spicy top notes of cardamom, mandarin pulp and pink pepper, Armani Code Sport by Giorgio Armani, a fresh, masculine scent that hits the spot with its minty, citrus and woody blend, Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Sport, a sleek and sporty scent which features bergamot, grapefruit, nutmeg, vetiver roots and cedar or Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme Libre, an energetic blend of Calabrian bergamot, violet leaves, basil, star anis, nutmeg, pink pepper, patchouli, vetiver accords, resin and warm leather.
