The Eyeshadow Trick That Flatters Asian Eyes

The standard eyeshadow tips don't usually work well on Asian monolids.

The standard eyeshadow tips don't usually work well on Asian monolids. The lack of depth and crease can make typical shading techniques look far too garish on Asian eyes. Take a cue from Jamie Chung's flattering eye makeup at the Audi Golden Globes kick-off bash in LA, by creating a gradient that goes from darkest at the lash line to the lightest shade under the brow. Jamie opted for shades of grey, peach, and champagne.

She concentrated the dark grey shade at the base of the eyelid closest to her lashes. Next, she layered a neutral peach hue that complemented her warm skin tone. And finally, she went for a touch of highlight underneath her brows with a shimmering champagne tone. For extra definition, she lined her eyes with black eyeliner and finished the look with curled lashes and lots of mascara.
