New York fashion week is here! Leading up to the big day, many designers are busy testing their Fall 2013 runway beauty looks. BCBG Max Azria let us take a peek at their beauty test, where cool girl Kate Moss served as inspiration. For the runway, models were adorned in beanies with lightly glazed terracotta lips and a soft smoky eye, creating a natural, subtle look. Bumble and Bumble's Laurent Philippon describes the hair as being made to look as if "she had been travelling." One key to getting a smoky eye at home without too much effort? "Use a pencil," says makeup artist Val Garland.

2012 Fall New York Fashion Week has started with day one designers including BCBG Max Azria, Richard Chai Love, Nicholas K and Honor. Standout looks included the rich red lips at Tadashi Shoji, the pretty ethereal headbands at Candela's presentation and BCBG Max Azria's romantic-with-an-edge look that featured extended winged-out liner. As for hair, there was something for everyone with polished ponytails and up 'dos, teased texture and sleek strands.
The array of celeb-studded events this week meant we had a tough time deciding who would make our Top Ten edit. The Burberry Body launch provided two of our favourites — Kate Bosworth wowed us as always in a tribal-print frock from the 2012 Spring Collection, while the Burberry Body herself Rosie Huntington-Whiteley stole the show in a nude silk slip. Elsewhere Kate Middleton was elegance personified in her vintage Amanda Wakeley gown, as was Michelle Williams in a sheer navy Nina Ricci number. Want more?
