Kerry Washington was busy yesterday doing the promo circuit for the season three premiere of Scandal, and at each event she changed up her beauty look. For her daytime engagement, Kerry attended The Paley Center She's Making Media event. "When I saw Kerry’s white dress, it was easy to see what I needed to do: sheer, fresh, and light," her makeup artist Brigitte Reiss-Anderson explained. She used the coffee colors in the NARS Kalahari Duo Eye Shadow ($55) and a touch of Falbala Lipstick ($39) to achieve the barely-there makeup. Kerry's hair was flowing around her face in loose curls.
Of course, for her nighttime appearance at the Saks Fifth Avenue celebration, there was an added oomph to Kerry's style. Her curls were pulled up into an asymmetrical up 'do that showed off her cinnamon highlights, and the simple makeup palette from midday was converted into a sultry red carpet palette. “Kerry wanted a matte lip, and we balanced it by building on her look from earlier, creating a wide-eyed, true, smoky brown eye," Reiss-Anderson explains. She selected the Belle de Jour Matte Lipstick Pencil ($39) and mixed brown and blue eye shadows for her after-five eye makeup.
Miley had hairdresser Chris McMillan chop her bun off back in August last year, bringing her love affair with short hair to just over a year. What do you think — should Miley grow her hair out or keep it short and sexy? One thing is for sure, just like Kim Kardashian, she loves her Eos lip balm!
In a recent survey conducted by the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australasia (CPSA), the organisation asked two and a half million women aged between 18 and 29 whether or not they have had any form of anti-ageing procedures. The results were remarkable with 28 percent saying yes. While there is evidence to suggest that they can in fact delay the ageing process, Dr. Susan Austin, spokesperson from the CPSA, believes that young women should look at making changes to their lifestyle before heading down this road. So, what do you think? Would you consider a cosmetic procedure to hide your fine lines?
Blue eyeliner has gotten a bit of a bum rap after the '80s, but as Selena Gomez proved at the 2013 Kids' Choice Awards, the cool-toned hue is here to stay. One of this season's hottest shades, blue looks pretty when paired with pink lipstick and lots of mascara, just as Selena wore on the KCAs orange carpet. The young star completed her fresh makeup palette with a half-up braid. Vote on all of our Kids' Choice Awards polls here!
