Even though she's a spokesmodel for Estée Lauder, Carolyn Murphy keeps it pretty simple when it comes to beauty. Covering Vogue's January issue — shot by Regan Cameron and on stands today — the supermodel talks health, fitness, her lack of dieting skills and her favourite, everyday makeup products. Some highlights from her interview with Vogue:

• On her exercise regime: "Living in the city, it's difficult to connect to the outdoors, so I find Bikram yoga is a calming outlet on many levels and yoga 'travels' well for when I'm in hotels. As for diets, I'm not a fan and have not attempted anything radical. I eat simple, whole foods and 'listen' to my body — everything in moderation."
• On anti-ageing: "We are fortunate enough in our time, to have access to some amazing products and technologies, that help combat the stress and environmental factors that are ageing us more rapidly."
• On her relationship with Estée Lauder: "Estée Lauder was always a part of my childhood. My grandmother and mother both used Estée Lauder products, but it wasn’t until my late teens that I started paying attention and wanted them for myself."

But if you're jetting off to warmer climates — or just love braids as much as we do — we think you'll appreciate this Carolyn Murphy editorial spread for Vogue Germany's June issue. Shot by Alexi Lubomirski, it sees the Estée Lauder spokesmodel — she's been with the brand for 11 years — looking all bronzed and beautiful sporting an array of different braided hairstyles. From slick braided high buns to tribal-esque looped and intertwined styles that made us recall Renya Xydis' handiwork at the Kirrily Johnston Spring/Summer 2010 show. The creations were down to hairstylist Ben Skervin so you've got him to thank for giving your classic plait the hairspiration boost it needs.

Last night's 6th annual DKMS Linked Against Blood Cancer Gala drew out a styled celebrity crew to NYC's Cipriani Wall Street. There was no shortage on style as stars turned up the glamour for a good cause and joined Temperley-clad honouree Heidi Klum to raise awareness for DKMS and its fight against blood cancer. We spotted a bevvy of our favourite models, like Coco Rocha in a sweet Jason Wu frock and Carolyn Murphy in a slinky midnight-blue halter.
