Heavy black eyeliner, smoky eyes are definitely on trend this Winter. And Catherine Zeta-Jones showed off a soft smoky eye at the US premiere of Red 2 that you could wear all season . . . and there wasn't a stitch of black liner in sight. Instead, Catherine swept on two metallic shades: an emerald green across her upper lids and a sexy silver across her lower lids. Curled lashes and a few swipes of mascara finished the job, creating a beautiful smoky eye that wasn't too heavy. This is a great look for when you're transitioning from day to night and only want to touch up your eyes.
Catherine Zeta-Jones put her curves on display in a figure-hugging Maria Lucia Hohan dress and Jerome C. Rousseau heels at the Red 2 premiere in LA last night. She was joined by her co-stars Helen Mirren, who shared a red carpet kiss with her husband, Taylor Hackford, and Bruce Willis, who managed to avoid any premiere PDA with his wife, Emma Heming Willis, but did shoot her loving glances on the carpet. Mary-Louise Parker and John Malkovich, who also star in Red 2, were also on hand to celebrate the project.
The entire cast has been busy promoting the movie on late-night talk shows over the past week and Mary-Louise shared a funny story about Bruce when she appeared on Conan on Tuesday. She explained that Bruce managed to take out a bee with his prop gun when the doomed creature was buzzing near just inches from her face during filming. Mary-Louise said, "He shot it dead. Because he's Bruce Willis, so he can shoot a bee, and it's not going to take out part of my nose or something."
Rooney Mara was joined by her co-stars Channing Tatum, Jude Law, and Catherine Zeta-Jones for the New York premiere of Side Effects last night. She wore a white Alexander McQueen dress and Nicholas Kirkwood pumps while Catherine donned a black lace Michael Kors frock. Catherine's husband, Michael Douglas, walked her down the red carpet, which included visits from some of New York's fashion elite, like Donna Karan and Rachel Roy.
Kate Mara joined her sister, Rooney, at the event after Rooney attended Kate's House of Cards premiere on Thursday. It's been a busy week for the duo, who have both been doing press for their two new releases. Rooney attended a Side Effects Q&A with director Steven Soderbergh and Jude in the Big Apple earlier this week and Kate made the party rounds for her new series in DC and NYC.
Sometimes it's the student who teaches the teacher and in this particular case — it's the celebrity client teaching the makeup artist. Here, our guest writer, celebrity makeup artist, Brett Freedman, shares with us his role-reversing experiences.
In my career as a makeup artist I've been turned on to some really great beauty tricks. Some are self-learned from trial and error, some are from other makeup artists, and more than a few have come from the subject themselves. There's a difference between doing makeup on a gal that's not in the entertainment industry (or as I term them, "civilian") and someone who gets made up as part of their job. Civilians are excited to try new colours, textures, and see their faces through the eyes of a pro; whereas actresses, singers, and models have seen their faces made up many different ways, making them hyperkeen on how products feel, wear and photograph. Who better to give insight into glam than the canvas themselves?

When it comes to red carpets, aside from the gorgeous dresses and stunning beauty looks, we also look forward to seeing celebrities with their other halves. We always welcome the appearance of couples that are famous for being joined at the hip — or at least hands — on the red rug, like Angelina and Brad, Nicole and Keith or Heidi and Seal, but what about the stars with lesser-known spouses? Did you know that Mark Wahlberg’s wife Rhea is an absolute stunner? Or that Mark Ruffalo’s better half is called Sunrise? Or that The Social Network hottie Armie Hammer was even married? Enter our gallery to see handsome leading men and silver screen queens all loved-up with their real-life co-stars on the Golden Globes red carpet.
Catherine Zeta-Jones is timelessly elegant and regal-looking, and although she's had a particularly tough 2010 helping her husband Michael Douglas through cancer, she still looked lovely at the Golden Globes. With her hair down and looking glossy as ever, it was a straightforward, yet extremely glamorous look. The only downfall was the grey-green under-eye shadow which made Catherine's gorgeous eyes look way smaller than they are. Do you like Catherine's demure Globes look or do you want to see her go a little bolder with her style?

The stars of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps gathered in NYC last night for their big premiere at the Ziegfeld Theater. Real-life loves Carey Mulligan and Shia LaBeouf walked the red carpet separately, but they caused a stir and screams from fans when they joined Josh Brolin, Susan Sarandon and Michael Douglas for a group photo. Michael, who is in the middle of a battle against cancer, bravely turned out with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones to support his latest movie with director Oliver Stone. Shia lingered at the press line well after the screening began, seeming happy to shoulder the promotional duties for both himself and Michael.
Shia had previously started the day by ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange with Carey, then he went solo to keep the interviews coming at The Late Show.
Heidi Klum is certainly no stranger to taking off her clothes for a modelling shoot, but her recent daring Allure shoot was only a few months after giving birth to baby Lou. Heidi stopped by The Tonight Show to chat with Jay about the experience, and we take a look at a few other celebrities—Kim Kardashian and Catherine Zeta Jones, we're looking at you—who have recently stripped down.
