Looney 'Toons: 10 Cartoons That Have Broken into the Beauty Biz

As we wait not-so-patiently to see Ms.

As we wait not-so-patiently to see Ms. Betty Boop make her video debut for Lancôme, we got to thinking about some other famous faces of the 2D variety that we've seen enter the beauty industry over the past few years. Since the Too Faced collection that gave Smurfette her big break into the cosmetics world back in 2008, we've seen inspiration being drawn from Alice in Wonderland, Wonder Woman, Hello Kitty and Shrek. Looney Tunes Bath & Body Products Are Coming to Shelves Near You

The Heat Group — distributors of Max Factor, Covergirl and Bourjois — have joined forces with Warner Bros.

The Heat Group distributors of Max Factor, Covergirl and Bourjois have joined forces with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to develop a range of body washes, shampoos and fragrances that will be branded with well-known Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo and DC Comics characters such as Bugs Bunny, Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman. The much-loved children's characters will no doubt make the products a hit, especially if MAC's sell-out Disney collection and OPI's successful partnership with The Muppets are anything to go by. Expect to see the wide range of products in store late 2012. Tell us, are you excited about the partnership?

MAC is Helping Turn You Into a Wonder Woman. Fo' Real

I have to admit that Wonder Woman was a little before my time.

I have to admit that Wonder Woman was a little before my time. But that doesn't mean I don't think it's totally frickin' awesome than a collaboration between MAC and DC Comics for a whole line of colour cosmetics featuring the original Girl Power superhero is an ah-mazing idea. Wish I'd thought of it. Who hasn't wanted to wear that sweet, sweet headband of hers? Sadly it won't be launching until Spring 2011 (March time) which gives us plenty of time to daydream of potential products and shade names like Amazonian lipstick, Golden Tiara eyeshadow, Invisible Airplane concealer . . . The packaging will be adorned with Wonder Woman illustrations but there's no word yet on whether they'll stick with black casing or not. Excited?
