The crème de la crème of Hollywood was out last night in support of amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS 2010 Gala and amongst them were these three lovely loidies who each opted for a bold lip. Marion Cotillard chose a coral-red and wore her hair swept off her face in a teased, relaxed up 'do; Emily Blunt went red on red with a classic rouge and softly textured hair; and Camilla Belle hit us with a dose of magenta and a centre-parted, low and loose chignon. Ulta-glam and ultra-easy, bold lipstick is definitely the 'go for your next night out, dontcha reck?
I'm never sure whether a sleek bun look sexy or school ma'amish but in E. Blunt's case I think we all have to agree that she looks like a sexpot (once again), won't we? The girl just doesn't stop. That radiant skin, that delicate rosy complexion, that baby pink lip, those perfect arches—all are working strongly in her favour. She was out and about in California for the Costume Designers Guild Awards and definitely gets a best tressed nod from me, you?
Considering that I have absolutely zero desire to see the movie, I feel that I spend a disproportionate amount of time talking about The Wolfman. But that's Emily Blunt for you. The leading lady was out at the Hollywood premiere of her latest flick earlier this week and pulled something else out of her seemingly endless bag of beauty looks. A feathered fascinator. Girl never stops. Do you like it? I really do. If like me, you're interested in one, I've got a few options for you: 2adorn Edie Exclusive To ASOS Petite Feather Hair Clip (approx $91), Sportsgirl Feather Detail Headband ($16.95) or ASOS Nude Feather And Beaded Cluster Hairband (approx $17.65). But back to the style, what are your thoughts?
Emily Blunt has been sporting some seriously stylish looks as promotes The Wolfman, in which she stars alongside Benicio Del Toro, but I'm struggling to pick a favourite between her last two. Back in late January she went with a centre part and very loose tousles in London, while yesterday in Madrid, she rocked a tucked-under 'do. Two very different looks, but both have their place in a wardrobe of good hairstyles. Which do you like best?
Now first things first, I'm not saying that Ms. Blunt looks like a wolfman; far from it, she looks lovely in navy blue tones. But she is doing press for her new movie, The Wolfman, hence the title. Now I particularly like that she's bucked the traditional smoky eye colour in favour of midnight blue to match her dress. Give it a whirl with Clinique's Colour Surge Eye Shadow Quad in Polar Blue ($66). I love the ease of her hairstyle also. She's spiced up an otherwise-plain low chignon with some Grecian twists and a simple black headband. The whole look says easy glamour. And it's a look I love. Don't you?
With award season in full swing, we're onto the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Saturday night (US time) so keep your eyes peeled for all the gossip, fashion, hair and makeup on Sunday and Monday, our time. Stars were out in full force last year, so there were many pretty looks on display, but which actress' beauty style did you rate the most?
She may be playing a young Queen Victoria in her latest film, but Emily looked like a thoroughly modern romantic this evening. She sported soft, deconstructed curls and lilac shadow that accentuated her eyes. The only slight issue I have is the mismatched colouring between her face and body, not a good look. Apart from that, what do you think of the look?
Emily Blunt, who's up for an award for her work in The Young Victoria, pairs a soft chignon with shimmering rose-and-violet makeup. The look gives her a sophisticated and youthful look.
