Zooey Deschanel's Vintage Hairstyle Is Easy For Anyone to Pull Off

If you've always been a fan of the Brigitte Bardot teased-up bump but don't have the time, willpower, or hair spray to pull it off, here's your solution: Zooey Deschanel's vintage up 'do, which she debuted at the Fox All-Star Party.

If you've always been a fan of the Brigitte Bardot teased-up bump but don't have the time, willpower, or hair spray to pull it off, here's your solution: Zooey Deschanel's vintage up 'do, which she debuted at the Fox All-Star Party. Instead of teasing and tousling the crown of her hair, Zooey created a stylish half-up, half-down style by pulling the top section of her hair into a bun. This created the illusion of a voluminous bump without the hassle.

To mimic her look, start off by spraying your dry hair with a texturising spray like Evo Mr Fantastic Texture Spray ($28.46). Separate your hair into top and bottom sections and pin the bottom section off. If the top section of your hair needs a little more texture, just quickly backcomb it. Next, twist the top section into a larger bun and secure it with pins. Release the bottom section, curl the ends, and finish with a mist of hair spray.

Off-Duty Beauty: Miranda Kerr's Effortless Top Knot

We know her best for that Victoria's Secret bod and her perfect model style, but Miranda Kerr is also a dark horse in the off-duty beauty stakes.
Miranda Kerr's Perfect Hair and Top Knot Hairstyle

We know her best for that Victoria's Secret bod and her perfect model style, but Miranda Kerr is also a dark horse in the off-duty beauty stakes. She's a big fan of low-key hair, but we think her top knot on the streets on New York yesterday is definitely one to try at home. The proof is in the Christmas pudding that you don't need to try hard to make this hairstyle work — it's all about letting those baby hairs and flyaways do their thing.

Start with second-day hair, and add some salt spray to the mid-lengths and ends, we love Evo Salty Dog Beach Cocktail Spray ($26.95). Rough dry the product in using the hot setting on your hairdryer, and then leave for a few minutes to cool (the secret to any lasting hairstyle is allowing your strands to cool, and set). Once you have that edgy texture, whip it up into a messy bun and gently create some flyaways by rubbing the palm of your hand in circular motions around the rest of your head. Voilà! The perfect off-duty model beauty look.
