Gorgeous clothes are only part of the excitement of New York Fashion Week — there are also the creative, cool beauty styles. This year, trends from New York ranged from easy braids at Rachel Zoe to flowing, straight hair at Theyskens' Theory, to giant bouffants at Carolina Herrera. Here are some of the shows that showcased the trends that everyone will be wearing soon.
2012 Fall Fashion Week kicks off in New York tomorrow, and while the MAC Cosmetics team have been responsible for makeup looks backstage in the past, this season is the first time that they'll be creating custom nail art, too. Kerri Blair, MAC Cosmetics senior artist, chatted with Refinery 29, saying that since MAC are "known for colour," we should be "on the lookout for some great shades ranging from nudes to deep jewel tones to even some of our most beloved lip colours that will soon be available in polish form." With the promise of "straight forward glamour" at shows like Zac Posen, Nicholas K. and ICB by Prabal Gurung, we're also hoping to see some of the brand's recent polish releases adorning models' nails.
