We're hard-pushed to think of a designer or celebrity who doesn't have some sort of fragrant ties these days, making the Best New Women's Fragrance another yet hard category to short-list in the BellaSugar Australia Beauty Awards! Still, we got there in the end, so what will it be? It's over to you; here are your options: Balenciaga L'Essence, a fresh, herbacious update on the original EDP, Flora by Gucci - The Flora Garden Collection, a trio of fragrances: Gorgeous Gardinia, Gracious Tuberose and Glamorous Magnolia, Valentina by Valentino, a sensual and feminine scent inspired by the designer's hometown of Rome, Bottega Venteta, a leathery floral chypre, Burberry Body which opens with green absinthe, peach and freesia, Tom Ford Violet Blonde, a delicious blend of violet leaf, Italian mandarin and baie rose, Ralph Lauren Big Pony Women, the four female counterparts to the iconic men's collection and Elie Saab Le Parfum, a scent described as having a "floral solar woody theme." OK so here's where the fun starts, because even if you haven't spritzed your way through this year's fragrance releases, chances are you haven't missed their posters adorning shop fronts, bus stops and the like. The Flora by Gucci ad campaign is one of the prettiest I've seen in my life. Fact. Starring Abbey Lee Kershaw, the print ads were shot by famed powerhouse duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Sigh. Whaddya think? A keeper?
