Giorgio Armani used the recent Japan earthquakes as inspiration behind his 2011 Fall Haute Couture Collection shown in Paris yesterday, naming the collection "Homage to Japan." The hairstyles were reminiscent of those seen in Memoirs of a Geisha. Hair was slightly teased at the front, slicked back and piled into oversized and pinned-in up 'dos, complete with angular, looped and floral-embellished headpieces. On the makeup front, complexions were left bare with minimal contouring, the eyes being the focal point with double-winged eyeliner in black and brown, smudged at the wing with eyeshadow applied up to the brow in varying shades of coral and orange. Glossy, iridescent peach lipstick was the perfect accompaniment.
