The lob has risen in the ranks to become the must-have haircut of 2013. This longer bob (hence, lob) can range anywhere from below the chin to just above the collarbone. Celebrities like Nicole Richie, Karlie Kloss, Julianne Hough and Nikki Reed have all been spotted wearing the versatile, stylish look. Whether it's her Ziggy Stardust-like bouffant from this week's SAG Awards or pink streaks highlighting her blonde mane, January Jones clearly likes to take risks and change things up. She has tried on practically every hair colour, which keeps things exciting, but it does have its consequences. "I have been every colour and now my hair is falling out in clumps," she told Grazia Daily at the Sundance Film Festival.
"I’ve been blonde, red with extensions for this film, then blonde, then black, and now blonde again. I’m going to have to shave it off and wear a wig." She prefers to be blonde and pointed out that's how her son, Xander, recognises her in photos. But the biggest change she ever felt was when she went dark for a few months. "I was suddenly invisible," January said. "Not just as a celebrity, but to my friends and family."
Earlier this year, January Jones surprised the world with pink highlights in her blonde hair, but now she has gone for a darker hair change. Recently, the Mad Men star was spotted with a new brunette hair colour. Is the new colour just an update according to the season or is it for a film role? That is yet to be seen. But the deeper colour (and matching brows) does bring out the best in her fair complexion. Are you loving this deep brunette hue on January, or do you prefer the bright blonde look?
Taking method acting to the extreme, a once blonde January Jones went red for a movie role, and she's still rocking the look at the Emmys. Wearing her hair in a wet-look chignon with a deep side part, we are especially taken with January's icy blue eyes. She's gone big on the lashes and very heavy with various shades of blue eyeshadow all the way around her eyes. It's a powerful makeup look to match her Zac Posen gown, and we think January pulls it off. Do you?

It’s no secret that we love Miss Jones, and 2011 was a big year for the Mad Men star. She gave birth to a baby boy Xander back in September and we've missed her particular brand of red carpet beauty in recent months. She works a ’60s housewife look to perfection on her hit show, and when she steps out she nails it pretty much every single time. She may be known for her love of bold lippie, thick black liner and golden bob, but January always looks fresh and isn’t afraid to test out interesting hairstyles — cue futuristic 'dos, fake cornrows, and out-there eye makeup. So as she celebrates her 34th birthday today, we’re paying tribute by looking at her best beauty looks. Have a good one, January!
Mad Men star January Jones is looking mighty fierce on the subscriber's cover of W magazine's May issue! She's sporting a cropped hairstyle with her fringe pulled into an extreme side part across her forehead and a free-from-makeup complexion. It's a stark contrast to her looking polished on the recent cover for Marie Claire UK and more similar to her look from the premiere of Unknown. Although we’re loving the punk feel of this cover, we can’t go past her usual brand of ladylike glamour, so the ball’s in your court now. Which look do you prefer?
