It's TV's night of nights, and the leading ladies of the show did not disappoint us when it came to their red carpet choices. Golden girl of the night, Carrie Bickmore (she's up for the biggest award of the show, the Gold Logie) wowed when she hit the carpet in a watermelon-hued Steven Khalil gown. Rebecca Judd was on the red carpet next, in a sexy and sheer J'Aton number, while Myer ambassador Lauren Phillips went for full-blown glamour in a metallic Arthur Galan gown, and Jennifer Hawkins literally sparkled in inky Jayson Brundson. Joel and Benji Madden rubbed shoulders with AFL stars and glamour girls at a Footy Fever at The West End at Crown event in Melbourne last night. Benji has been in the country for a few weeks but Joel only arrived on Tuesday, tweeting, “Australia your baby boy is back! Give me a bottle and change my diaper I'm ready to party.” Earlier in the year Joel was based in Sydney for a few months as one of the coaches on The Voice. Last night they performed for a crowd that included Jesinta Campbell and Shane Crawford, who hosted the event, and AFL and media personalities. It’s been a non-stop 24 hours for Jesinta, who returned to Sydney this morning for a TV appearance, then flew back to Melbourne in time for lunch and a fitting.

We've seen the gorgeous makeup looks on show at Myer's Autumn/Winter 2012, but now it's time to turn our attentions to the stylish stars sitting front row. Joining sass & bide designers Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton and were Myer's bevy of beautiful ambassadors Jennifer Hawkins, Jess Hart, Rebecca Judd, Laura Dundovic and Lauren Phillips. Forget Paris Fashion Week! Last night Melbourne's Mural Hall played host to Myer's Autumn/Winter '12 parade, attracting a slew of local celebs and key fashion identities in the process. Of course ambassadors Jennifer Hawkins, Jessica Hart and Kris Smith were on runway duty, but there were some killer looks being sported by the well-dressed front row, too. Lindy Klim oozed modern elegance in a fuchsia sheath, Rebecca Twigley pulled off a dramatic pair of (Ellery, surely?) flairs whilst Grazia editor Kelly Hush shone in one of our favourite looks from Gucci's S/S '12 collection. The designer pack showed their support, with the sass & bide girls Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke, Fleur Wood, Jason Brunsdon and Wayne Cooper dressing up for the occasion. It feels like everything is happening this weekend: Parklife, the races, and the footy. The AFL Grand Final is taking place on Saturday between the Collingwood Magpies and Geelong Cats, and most of the men of the game turned out with their lovely other halves for the Brownlow Medal on Monday night, which was awarded to Dane Swan. In preparation for the Grand Final, we’re taking a look at five of the hottest AGL WAGs, including Rebecca Judd and Lauren Phillips — even if you’re not sure how to talk about the game, at least the wives and girlfriends can be one of the ways you join the conversation!

Whilst sitting spell-bound by coverage of a sporting event isn't usual Fab behaviour, we made an exception for last night's Brownlow Medal awards ceremony. The wives and girlfriends of the AFL eclipsed the medal count with their choice of head-turning frocks, with the blue carpet at Melbourne's Crown Palladium chock-a-block with glamorous gowns. Giving Rugby League's WAGs a run for their red carpet money, the girls were a well-dressed representation of the code, with elegant floor sweeping styles, couture detailing and less flesh flashed than we've seen in previous years. Best on ground goes to Rebecca Judd (yet again) who donned a chartreuse number, and honourable mentions deserved by Chris Newman's partner Lauren Poulter who stood out in a long sleeved gown and Jimmy Bartel's better half Nadia Coppolino who looked elegant in emerald.
