Last night we popped along to Sydney's Strand Arcade to scope out the Artisans of Fashion photographic exhibition and partake in the "Evening with our Designers" shopping-fest. The champers was flowing, and the designers were out in full force. In fact, we could barely move for the crowds! Large scale photographs of Louise van der Vorst, as snapped by Robyn Beeche, James Pipino and Georges Antoni, hung from the high Victorian ceilings — celebrating this not-for-profit organisation and the incredibly talents of these often underpriviledged workers. Amongst the mayhem, we took the opportunity to chat with deligthful Lover designers Susien Chong and Nic Briand, and the effervescent Alex Perry. Step inside to hear what they had to say.
The Best Runway Looks from the David Jones Spring Summer Fashion Launch
We've collated all of Miranda Kerr's amazing exits from last night's David Jones new season spectacular, but what of the rest of the catwalk show? In case your invitation went astray, we've rounded up the best runway looks from the department store's Spring Summer 2012-'13 collections so you can get a heads-up on what's hot for the season ahead. Think of the following as a refresher course in the runway trends we first saw at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia; neon, white-on-white, hot-house floral prints, statement suiting and bold graphic prints were the topline trends from local designers. Apart from Ms Kerr, David Jones also enlisted catwalking skills of Montana Cox, Jessica Gomes, Alexandra Agoston, Bambi Northwood-Blyth, Alice Burdeu, Louise van der Vorst and Samantha Harris. On the Runway: Miranda Kerr, Jessica Gomes & More at the David Jones Spring Summer Fashion Launch
Last night's David Jones Spring Summer Fashion Launch was a beauty feast for the eyes. Models including Miranda Kerr, Montana Cox, Jessica Gomes, Louise Van Der Vorst and Samantha Harris walked the runway to show off the department store's Spring/Summer '12 fashion offerings, but we were most excited to see the two exclusive beauty looks Napoleon Perdis put together hit the runway. The looks were held up by a flawless complexion against bright matte colours — namely spearmint eyes and red lips. His modern take on colour really speaks to the upcoming season's punchy and powerful fashion trends. Click through to see Miranda, Montana, Jessica and all the other models rocking Napoleon's handiwork in our round-up of the runway.
Candids: See What Miranda Kerr, Lara Bingle, Jestina Campbell & More Have Been Up to This Week
It was all about models in makeup this week, as Miranda Kerr, Jestina Campbell, Doutzen Kroes, Bar Refaeli and more posted candid snaps of themselves getting beautified (not that they need it!). Lara Bingle is included, and we're loving her updates following the premiere of her reality show this week. Oprah sat down with the Kardashian clan — an interview we're dying to see — and Gwen Stefani rocked her white blonde hair with a cool knotted up-do. Let's go!
All of the Beauty Looks From the David Jones A/W 2012 Show
You've scoped the front row, but now it's time to check out the beauty looks from the David Jones Autumn/Winter 2012 collection showcase which took place in Sydney last night. Napoleon Perdis led the makeup team, creating three different looks for models including Miranda Kerr, Samantha Harris, Montana Cox and Louise Van Der Vorst. One centred around a matte orange-red lip, one was all about a metallic smoky eye and the other was a retro, '20s-inspired look with finger waves, elaborate head pieces and deep, statement pouts. Ahead of the show, Napoleon said: "I'm particularly proud of this makeup direction; not only will it make for a great runway statement but a very wearable reality for every day." We'll bring you the breakdown of each look soon, but for now, check out the three beauty looks up close.

Party People: 2010 GQ Men Of The Year Awards
The local talent was out en masse last night at the 2010 GQ magazine Men of the Year Awards. Looking over the pictures this morning we are mighty impressed with the high standard of style on display at the Sydney Opera House. The men looked suave in suits (Ryan Kwanten especially!), but like the US GQ Awards, it was the ladies who stood out on the fashion front. Lara Bingle wore an unusually masculine two piece suit ensemble, Nicole Trunfio worked the Mad Men angle in a lady like Louis Vuitton number, Claudia Karvan was radiant in raspberry, Elyse Taylor looked elegant in a chic one shouldered gown and Rafters girls Jessica Marais and Jessica McNamee both donned black floor length dresses. But don't take my word for it — click through and see for yourself!
RAFW 2010: Lucette

If you're not already familiar with Lucette, stay tuned, you soon will be. Showing for the first time this year, the Spring/Summer 2010-11 collection was full of key pieces you'll want to add to your already existing wardrobe. After a touch of rock? No problem, the black apocalyptic pants and mesh tees should have you covered.
After something a little more soft? Well how about a lush nude leather shell top or floaty silk pants? Military colours and shapes were sexed up with body-con silhouettes and hardware detailing, while harem pants and bodysuits remained a staple in many looks. Models Louise Van Der Vorst and Samantha Harris ruled the runway, and specially designed Tristain Blair heels finished off the galactic looks quite nicely. This is fun fashion at its best.
