This Week's Top 10 Celebrity Beauty Looks

Between front-row Fashion Week sightings, the Brit Awards and pre-Oscars parties, we had a lot of events to cast our eye over for the top beauty looks this week.

Between front-row Fashion Week sightings, the Brit Awards and pre-Oscars parties, we had a lot of events to cast our eye over for the top beauty looks this week. As usual, our favourite hair and makeup mavens pulled out all the stops with their looks: Miranda Kerr was looking gorgeous, with bright lips and pretty eyes, while style icon Miroslava Duma had us oohing and aahing over her cute braids. Rosie Hunting-Whiteley was all blonde bombshell (isn't she always?) and Vanessa Hudgens went for a dark and sexy look. There's more to see, so start clicking through!

This Week's Top 10 Celebrity Beauty Looks

Some week's it's all about the lips, others it about the glittery take on eyeshadow, but this week, so much celebrity beauty came down to the hair.

Some week's it's all about the lips, others it about the glittery take on eyeshadow, but this week, so much celebrity beauty came down to the hair. Many of our favourites were working bold hairstyles that we can't wait to copy — from Miranda's va-va-voom voluptuous curls, to Blake Lively's slinky waves and Ke$ha's cool braid. It wasn't just about the hair, though — Amanda Seyfried's amazing eyeliner has to be seen to be believed and we're basically head over heels for Megan Fox's so-vampy-it-hurts look. It's all here and more, so click through to check it all out!

Off-Duty Beauty: Miranda Kerr's Effortless Top Knot

We know her best for that Victoria's Secret bod and her perfect model style, but Miranda Kerr is also a dark horse in the off-duty beauty stakes.
Miranda Kerr's Perfect Hair and Top Knot Hairstyle

We know her best for that Victoria's Secret bod and her perfect model style, but Miranda Kerr is also a dark horse in the off-duty beauty stakes. She's a big fan of low-key hair, but we think her top knot on the streets on New York yesterday is definitely one to try at home. The proof is in the Christmas pudding that you don't need to try hard to make this hairstyle work — it's all about letting those baby hairs and flyaways do their thing.

Start with second-day hair, and add some salt spray to the mid-lengths and ends, we love Evo Salty Dog Beach Cocktail Spray ($26.95). Rough dry the product in using the hot setting on your hairdryer, and then leave for a few minutes to cool (the secret to any lasting hairstyle is allowing your strands to cool, and set). Once you have that edgy texture, whip it up into a messy bun and gently create some flyaways by rubbing the palm of your hand in circular motions around the rest of your head. Voilà! The perfect off-duty model beauty look.

Hairdresser Etiquette 101: How to Better Prepare For the Chair

We've all been there — standing on the street with a fresh cut and colour that looks nothing like we envisaged or the picture we presented.
Tips From a Hairdresser on How to Get the Perfect Cut and Colour

We've all been there — standing on the street with a fresh cut and colour that looks nothing like we envisaged or the picture we presented. We said Alexa Chung's choppy crop and walked out with something resembling The Rachel, circa 1994. We're upset and we kind of want to cry, but there's no way in hell we're going to walk back in and actually tell the hairdresser we hate it. Besides, maybe it will grown on us? Or maybe we can go home and wash it. Then straighten it. Then tie it up. If you've been in a similar situation, our bet is you spent a lot of money and time in the chair acquiring that hair, so we decided to quiz Original A's colour director, Wayne Lewis, about all things hairdresser etiquette. What can we do to better prepare ourselves for a visit to the salon? And, what should we say if we don't want that $50 blow dry at the end? Come on!

Miranda Kerr stepped out in Sydney today to announce her new role as the Australian ambassador for a soon-to-be-launched hair care range. Making the announcement at the Palm House in the Royal Botanical Gardens, Miranda showcased exactly why she's the perfect spokesmodel for the range, with her glossy brunette locks almost stealing the show. The range is called Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy, and is currently fronted by Heidi Klum in the US campaigns. This gig will join Miranda's other ambassador roles — she currently fronts David Jones, Qantas, Lipton Iced Tea (in Japan) and her own skincare range, Kora Organics. Busy girl! Trend Alert: Middle Parts

Changing your part is the easiest way to try a new look without the commitment, and lately celebrities have been giving us a reason to experiment.

Changing your part is the easiest way to try a new look without the commitment, and lately celebrities have been giving us a reason to experiment. Hilary Duff, Miranda Kerr and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have all taken the middle path this week. A centre part highlights the face, as it draws the eye directly downward, and it looks beautiful styled with straight or slightly wavy hair. If your natural part is not straight down the centre, it's still possible to train it otherwise. Work a mousse, like PPS Sculpt It ($19.95), into your hair prior to blow drying, keeping it away from your roots to avoid weighing them down. This will ensure that your freshly styled strands stay in place. A quick slide of the straightener on top of your hair will also help accentuate this dramatic part.

Miranda Kerr Shows The Power of a Middle Part at the VS Swim Launch

Miranda Kerr Flashes Her Smile, Middle Part and Bikini Bod for Victoria's Secret

Earth Hour ambassador Miranda Kerr was on hand to pose with fellow Angel Candice Swanepoel for the Victoria's Secret Swim collection launch at the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills yesterday. The Aussie Angel flashed her pearly whites for the cameras in a bikini and cover-up, but what really got our attention was her signature middle-part. Her shiny brunette locks were carefully curled at the ends but instantly looked more modern than frou-frou thanks to her clever parting skills. Are you stuck in a side-part rut? Take Miranda's lead this weekend and opt for the middle, it's an easy and surprisingly effective hair updater!
