Hands up if you've been asked about your new years resolutions a zillion times so far? No matter how quickly it rolls over, I never seem to have the perfect answer. Sure, I'd like to be healthier, happier, and would love to know as much about climate change as I do about Miu Miu handbags, but there's no concrete resolution I know I'll really stick to come 2010. That was until I started thinking about my closet. It's full to the brim, but do I really need so much...errr...stuff?
One of my 2010 wishes is to keep a neat and concise wardrobe filled with classics and basics to see me through each season. No more dashes to the local chain store to stock up on disposable threads when I haven't got a thing to wear. No more splurging on something the day before I really need it, only to find I hate it the next day. And certainly no more sample sale 'it's three-sizes-too-big-but-I'll-get-it-altered' moments. No. I'm going to be a sensible shopper in 2010, filling my life with chic staples I'll love forever.
