This week we're awash in celebrity style, thanks to the slew of A-list parties, screenings and pre-Met Gala parties happening north of the equator. Baz Luhrmann and his Gatsby cast hosted a preview screening in NYC today, drawing a well-dressed guest list of stars and designers. Vera Wang, Prabal Gurung and Nanette Lepore represented the fashion pack, Kylie Minogue and Rachael flew the Aussie flag — both in printed two-pieces — and leading ladies Carey Mulligan (who also opted for some slick suiting) and Emma Roberts rounded out the Hollywood pack. It’s been a Great Gatsby-filled week for Carey Mulligan, who attended a NYC screening of the film today. Also representing the movie were director Baz Luhrmann and his wife, Catherine Martin, who was in charge of costume and production design. Last week the three stars hit up a Prada-hosted cocktail reception for an upcoming exhibit of The Great Gatsby’s gorgeous ’20s costumes, and the world premiere, which was also attended by Carey’s co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton and Isla Fisher. And Gatsby shows no signs of slowing down in the lead-up to its May 30 release — the cast will head to Cannes, where they’ll open the Cannes Film Festival, and then they’ll return to Sydney later in the month for an Australian premiere.

Today’s NYC screening attracted Aussies Kylie Minogue and Rachael Taylor, and other actors Emma Roberts, Cuba Gooding Jr. and David Schwimmer.

MBFWA brings Australia’s most stylish women out to play, among them high profile beauties who have been sharing candid moments on their social media accounts. Lara Bingle was a busy bee on Monday with a roster of shows to attend, while Phoebe Tonkin has been all around fashion week as a correspondent for Vogue magazine. Rachael Taylor teamed up with label KAHLO to produce a short film, and Jennifer Hawkins has shown her support at Jayson Brunsdon and Maticevski.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Hawkins, Alex Perry and Charlotte Dawson have been flying around the country on the search for Australia’s Next Top Model. Now this is the way to debut a just-popped baby belly! Lara Stone put her bump front and centre at today's 22nd annual Gotham Independent Film Awards at Cipriani in NYC in a slinky tangerine sheath by Calvin Klein. There were some other notable outfits on show too, with Girls star Allison Williams looking lovely in a nude and neon lace Valentino dress, Marion Cotillard in a navy Christian Dior couture gown, Amy Adams looking sharp in a sculptural Giorgio Armani LBD and Emily Blunt looking ethereal in a strapless white Calvin Klein frock. Oh, and we can't leave out our very own Rachael Taylor who opted for a chic black Theyskens' Theory suit and Gianvito Rossi for Altuzarra heels for her strut down the red rug. Emily Blunt and John Krasinski met up with their friend Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso on the red carpet at the Gotham Independent Film Awards in NYC today. Emily and her co-stars in Your Sister's Sister took home the best ensemble performance award while Matt was honoured by John. Moonrise Kingdom received the best feature honour and Beasts of the Southern Wild picked up a couple of awards. There were plenty of stars out for the awards show, including Marion Cotillard, Amy Adams, Jack Black, Rachael Taylor (in Theyskins Theory) and pregnant Lara Stone, who showed off her growing baby bump in a sleek red dress. Leighton Meester has joined brave and brazen actresses Emma Watson, Michelle Williams and Ginnifer Goodwin — to name but a few — in cutting her hair off. The Gossip Girl beauty, once known for her long brown hair, was photographed hosting an LA magazine launch sporting a choppy bob — not dissimilar to Phoebe Tonkin's new 'do.
