Television's night of nights is taking place this Sunday, but before we see the latest lineup of stars hit the red carpet, we're focusing on what's arguably the most important part of the Logies: the hair and makeup. More specifically, the best beauty looks from some of our all-Australian golden girls. This year, gorgeous blonde TV presenter Carrie Bickmore is in the running for the biggest award of the night — The Gold Logie — but no matter the outcome, she's always a winner on the red carpet. From her shiny, voluminous hair, to Kate Ritchie's navy smoky eye and Rebecca Gibney's ageless beauty, the best looks are lined up here for you to peruse. Click through to check them all out, and stayed tuned for when we bring you all the action as it happens on Sunday night!
Check out 60 of the Best Celebrity Engagement Rings!
With the wave of celebrity betrothals last year and this year (already!), it looks like we've got a lot of weddings to look forward to soon. Jennifer Aniston was one of the biggest names (and most hotly-anticipated) to confirm an engagement, and the huge ring that Justin Theroux presented to her made his feelings very clear indeed. Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis announced their engagement in January of this year, and her ring is one of the most unique we've seen. We also did some drool-inducing research so you can check out the best rocks around, from Princess Grace of Monaco to the Victoria's Secret angels, plus Aussies Miranda Kerr, Rachael Finch and Jen Hawkins. And if the man in your life needs a subtle nudge (or kick) in the right direction, why not pass the link on . . .
Rebecca Breeds and Luke Mitchell Share Sweet Wedding Pictures With New Idea
Two weekends ago, Luke Mitchell and Rebecca Breeds got married in a gorgeous wedding held at NSW’s Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat. They shared photos of their special day exclusively with New Idea, which is on sale now. The Australian TV couple, who met on the set of Home and Away, wanted to treat their loved ones to an “into the wild” experience. Rebecca says they chose the open-air chapel for their nuptials because “it reminds me of A Midsummer Night's Dream. It’s a different kind of church, with God in nature.” The bride wore a custom-made Steven Khalil gown and flowers in her hair to match the theme while Luke looked handsome in a Herringbone suit. See all the pictures inside New Idea.

Hitched! Congratulations to these Aussie stars
'Tis the season to get married, or so it seems! Following the top-secret wedding of Rachael Finch and Michael Miziner earlier in the week, two Aussie couples followed suit yesterday. Rebecca Breeds married her long-time beau, former Home and Away co-star Luke Mitchell, in a low-key ceremony at the Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat. Meanwhile, further up north in Byron Bay, rugby league star Benji Marshall married his TV presenter fiancé Zoe Balbi at the Visionnaire Estate. Zoe wore two different Steven Khalil gowns for the big day, and friends Jesinta Campbell, Maude Garrett and Beau Ryan were on-hand to help Benji and Zoe celebrate. Both couples are thought to have magazines lined up to cover their weddings exclusively — we can't wait to see all the pictures. Huge congratulations to the happy couples!
Rebecca Breeds Lands Her First US Role in a New CBS Pilot

Rebecca Breeds is the latest Home and Away star to spread her wings and try her luck in the US, and she’s already found success by landing a lead role on a new CBS sitcom. Rebecca, who’s in the middle of planning a wedding with former co-star Luke Mitchell, will star in a single-camera comedy pilot as the daughter of Monk's Tony Shalhoub. Her character, Julie, has been described by TV industry website Deadline as “Frank’s adorable, independent and neurotic daughter who is trying to get her act together and get over her major daddy issues due to Frank’s less than stellar parenting.” Her other announced co-stars are Chris Smith and Kal Penn. After years on the long-running soap and her dramatic exit on Home and Away we can’t wait to see Rebecca in a comedy!
Sydney Stars Brave the Cold For a Glamorous Movie Night at Vogue's Fashion Film Festival
Vogue magazine teamed up with Moët & Chandon to launch a three-day Fashion Film Festival at Dendy Opera Quays last night. The champagne was flowing freely in gold goblets and canapés made the rounds as Australian celebrities braved the chilly Sydney night for a gala screening of Bill Cunningham New York, which documents the iconic street style photographer. Engaged Home and Away stars Luke Mitchell and Rebecca Breeds talked to us about their wedding preparation, with Rebecca saying she didn’t realise how much went into planning a wedding until now! Conversation also turned to Luke’s fans campaigning for him to play Finnick Odair in Catching Fire, with Rebecca being his biggest supporter.
We caught up with glamour girls Jodi Gordon and Laura Csortan, who talked about their plans to catch a Gold Class session of Magic Mike with model pal Nikki Phillips, who was also in attendance. And while discussing the handsome cast of Magic Mike, the topic changed to the book on everyone’s lips, Fifty Shades of Grey, which Laura and Jodi are both reading! Once we were inside the cinema, Vogue editor-in-chief Edwina McCann welcomed guests as glasses were topped up and everyone settled in for the movie.
The Lips Don't Lie at the Snow White Sydney Premiere
It may have been all about Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth at the Snow White and the Huntsman Sydney premiere last night, but local celebs were hard to ignore thanks to their impressive hair and makeup skills. Jess and Lisa Origliasso of The Veronicas, Rebecca Breeds and Sophie Lowe were just a few of the famous faces who chose to highlight their lips in honour of the blockbuster movie, proving that there's no better accessory than a good lipstick when you want to make maximum impact with minimum effort. Step inside our gallery for a closer look.
Aussie Stars Support Chris Hemsworth at His Big SWATH Sydney Premiere
Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth may have headlined last night’s Sydney premiere of Snow White and the Huntsman at Westfield Bondi Junction, but there were plenty of Australian stars out in force walking the long white carpet as well. Home and Away was well represented, with former star Kate Ritchie, Steve Peacocke, and newly-engaged Luke Mitchell and Rebecca Breeds in attendance. Chris got his big break on Home and Away many years ago and has said it was a great foundation for his career. The Veronicas, Lisa and Jess Origliasso, wore Wheels & Dollbaby for the premiere, and Erin McNaught matched the night’s theme in white at one of her last Sydney events before making the move to Europe. Sophie Lowe, Verne Troyer, Laura Csortan and Michelle Bridges rounded out the crowd.
Sydney Celebs Style Up for the Snow White And The Huntsmen Premiere With Kristen!
Ok, so the main attraction at last night's Snow White and the Huntsmen may have been Twilight's mega-star Kristen Stewart who shone in a two-piece Balmain stunner and Christian Louboutin heels, but we thought it was worth taking a look at the local celeb-pack who frocked up for the Australian premiere at Westfield's Bondi Junction. The Veronicas got girly in Wheels & Dollbaby, Erin McNaught lit up her LWD with neon extras and Sophie Lowe, as always, was a picture of indie-girl cool. We may not have got up and personal with the stars like Pop did, but this red carpet round-up is making us feel like we were really there.
Luke Mitchell and Rebecca Breeds Are Engaged!
![]()
Get ready for a real-life Home and Away wedding — Luke Mitchell and Rebecca Breeds are engaged! Luke, 27, tweeted early this morning, “Ok so in response to Beyonce... I liked it, so I put a ring on it!” The cute couple have been dating for a few years and are often seen at red carpet events together. Art also imitated life when they shared an onscreen romance on the show (they portray Romeo Smith and Ruby Buckton).
When we caught up with them at the opening of Marquee Sydney at the end of March, Rebecca, 24, told us of her plans to whisk Luke away on a romantic trip for his birthday, and that’s where the proposal took place! Luke told New Idea, “Honestly, it was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done in my life. I had the element of surprise — I didn’t tell anyone what I was planning, not a soul, not even my parents. But pretending there was nothing special on my mind for three months before I actually asked her to marry me — that was the best acting I’ve ever done!” Congrats to Luke and Rebecca!
