Red Lipstick
Michelle Williams ain’t the only one holding onto her crop. Cate Blanchett is giving her a run for her money, except she’s also thrown a bright red lip into the mix. She was at the Helpmann Awards in Sydney last night, celebrating Australia’s theatre and stage greats, and her crop was styled very similarly to when she attended the Tony Awards earlier in the year.
Seriously. Could Dianna Agron look any more stunning in these shots? It's ridic.
You kids loved it when Ashley Greene rocked a red lip for the ESPYs last month so I suspect that you'll be digging this glam-o-rama look that Ash served up for the September cover of Russian InStyle. We all know that the September issue is BIG news so a statement look was required. Cue big 'n bouncy volume, an Alexa Chung style thick-then-thin winged eye and of course, cult classic: the red lip.
We're used to seeing Alessandra Ambrosio all bronzed and bubbly, classic Victoria's Secret stuff. But the Brazilian model is looking decidedly different on the September cover of LOVE Magazine. Her usually honey- and caramel-toned hair has been replaced by a grungy black hue, gone is the bronze-a-licious wash of colour on her skin, in its place a piercing porcelain white and brows — MIA.

I would normally start by admonishing Leona Lewis for not sticking to Rule #37 of Makeup Application: Thy Shall Only Play Up Thee Eye or Thee Lip, but she managed to pull off (deep breath) a-winged-eye-green-shadow-luminous-cheeks-and-bright-pinky-coral-lip with ease at the UK Salt premiere yesterday. Spotted: Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester on the cover of UK Cosmo's September issue. The Herbal Essences global spokesperson looked every inch the bombshell with her big blowout but confessed that she doesn't wear makeup when she's not working. "Very rarely I’ll put on a little bit of concealer here and there," she says.
