It has been a memorable week at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, where we've been wowed and inspired by some of the most amazing hair and makeup seen to date. Celebrity hair stylist, Renya Xydis, has been busy backstage directing hair on behalf of Wella Professionals and Cloud Nine for Easton Pearson, Christopher Esber and Suboo. She has also been responsible for some of the flawlessly stylish looks seen on Cate Blanchett and Kate Bosworth, working locally out of her Paddington salon, Valonz. Amongst all the fashion show prepping, we managed to pull her aside and have a sneak peek at the beauty products she couldn't have lived without during this week's MBFWA.
2013 MBFWA: A Tight, Sexy Cornrow & Contoured Skin at Suboo
Wella Professionals' Renya Xydis wanted the girls at Suboo to look sexy — she wanted to create an It Girl. A classic blow dry followed by salt spray gives that edgy vibe, while the tight cornrow keeps it modern. Elizabeth Arden used their new sponge-on foundation and colour range on the models, with a big focus on earthy contouring and a structured brow. The perfect, glowy skin is thanks to Model Co. 2013 MBFWA: Matte Skin & Boyish, Moulded Hair at Christopher Esber
Christopher Esber's hair and makeup direction included words like boyish, strong but still pretty. Both Wella Professional's Renya Xydis and Napoleon Perdis used structure and contouring respectively to complement the clothes. Napoleon looked to '50s American heiress, Lady Keith, for beauty inspiration — "waspy, polished perfection with a slightly raw edge." You know what to do...

All Angles: Kate Bosworth's Sexy Sydney Look
When one of our all-time style and beauty faves comes to town, you know we're going to be closely documenting every pretty step she takes. And when Kate Bosworth stepped out in glittering Stella McCartney at David Jones in Sydney last night, we couldn't have been more impressed with her subtle and sexy hair and makeup. Here to promote SK-II, Kate, who was recently made the new face of the high-end brand, stepped out on a chilly Sydney night looking like she was fresh off a tropical island — all glowing skin, sexy, tousled hair and a pop of punchy pink-coral on her lips — courtesy of makeup artist Liz Kelsh and hair stylist Renya Xydis. Click through the gallery to see all the angles and close-ups of Kate's look!
Get the Look: Sass & Bide's Textured Ponytail At London Fashion Week
After announcing their partnership with Cloud Nine and Valonz's Renya Xydis last month, sass & bide's hair look for their show at London fashion week was structured and seductive. Renya created a textured, playful and relaxed ponytail to complement Heidi and Sarah-Jane's most recent collection; with in-demand model Cara Delevingne leading the model pack. The makeup was very minimal soft, counteracting the strong lines in the collection. To get this very wearable, masculine-meets-feminine hair look at home, click through.

Renya Xydis, Cloud Nine and Sass & Bide for London Fashion Week 2012
Sass & bide designers Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke have teamed up with celebrity hairstylist Renya Xydis for their show at London Fashion Week 2012 next month. This exciting collaboration will see Renya, who's worked with Cate Blanchett, Eva Mendes, Miranda Kerr and Mary-Kate Olsen to name a few, using Cloud Nine tools exclusively for sass & bide, to create directional hair looks that'll complement the collection. It's pretty much like a match made in hair heaven — we've admired Renya's work for years (check out the braid she did in Sarah-Jane's hair at the Myer Spring/Summer 2013 Collection), we're all crazy for sass & bide, and Cloud Nine is one of the strongest brands in the market. It's pretty safe to say that we'll be seeing some amazing stuff strutting down the catwalk come September, and we can't wait!
In the August Issue of Russh, They Shaved a Model's Head
For the most part, hairstylists aren't allowed to do anything too dramatic to a model's look on a shoot. Unless, of course, you're shooting for Russh. In their August issue out tomorrow with Cara Delevingne on the cover (you can watch her being all amazing and floaty here), hairstylist to the stars, Renya Xydis, shaves model Suzi Leenaars' head. To be fair, the blonde was already sporting quite the cool buzz cut when she arrived on set, but still — how rock star!
