Usually wearing more than one beauty trend at a time can cause a clash, but Emmy Rossum proved that the key is choosing the right combination. She matched emerald smoky eyes and nude lips with an easy braid and white nails at yesterday's The 20/20 Experience album release party.

By incorporating Pantone's Colour Of the Year, Emmy's green shadow is spot-on for 2013. To re-create the look, apply Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Green ($9.95) in the lower waterline and on the upper lids. Then top with a golden shadow in the inner corners and on the center of lids. Emmy balanced the bold shadow with a glossy nude lip - yet another trend right now. Kate Moss apparently has a knack for doing her own manicure, so it seems her new nail polish line with Rimmel London is a natural next step. "I'm really good at painting," she told Telegraph. "It's one of the things I like to do on holiday - a line up of all the girls and make their nails look nice." She may be a fashion trendsetter, but Kate also has a knack for wearing the next big thing in nails, too. "I got into the long, thin, vampy lady [nails], but now I'm back into fresh and younger and shorter."

The model is also up on the classic nude trend with the neutral beige Soul Sessions as her favourite colour from the collection. If you're more into the vibrant hues, Kate's latest nail collection has a great range of colour inspired by, well, a lot of things. "It's quite instinctive really, something would inspire me whether it's, you know, a band or a film or some kind of character - Debbie Harry, you know in Studio 54." Kate's Super Pro nail line will be available in stores soon (we'll keep you posted!) and she only has one rule for you: matching is forbidden. "On set it would be a big no-no to match the lip with the nail," she said. "It's always a clash."

Whether you're in a constant battle with your eye shape or just trying to look more alert without that third cup of coffee, larger, wider eyes can be yours. Even if you weren't blessed with eyes like Zooey Deschanel, there are a few easy tricks you can pull out to make your peepers pop. Embrace your makeup, brush up on your colours, and look more alert with these simple steps:

Try white eyeliner: Lining your water line with a white eyeliner, like Shu Uemura Eye Light Pencil in White ($30), will make the whites of your eyes appear larger. This illusion will actually make your eyes appear larger, too.
Curl your lashes: This may seem like an unnecessary step, but curling your lashes opens up your eyes. Add two coats of a volume-boosting mascara, like Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Mascara ($17.95), for an extra pop.
Ease up on black liner: If you have especially small eyes, make sure to not use a heavy hand when applying your liner to your upper lid. Instead, lightly line close to your lash line.
