It takes a seriously cool party to hold down three of the most famous faces in the world for a night — but then, Rimmel London never does things by halves! The iconic beauty brand enlisted two of its ambassadors, Kate Moss and Georgia May Jagger to help them celebrate its 180th anniversary (it looks so young for its age) at Covent Garden in London. Georgia and Kate both made their arrivals in true Brit style — in Rimmel-branded black cabs — before settling in for a night of celebrations, which included a fashion show and a surprise performance from Rita Ora.
While she was there, Rita took the opportunity to celebrate her upcoming beauty collaboration with the brand. The latest star to join forces with Rimmel, Rita will release a capsule collection in March next year — and judging by the epic beauty looks Rita carries off, we can expect some bold and beautiful things from the line. Kate Moss was joined by her fellow Rimmel London spokeswomen Rita Ora and Georgia May Jagger for the iconic brand's 180 Years of Cool events in London on Thursday. First, the supermodel attended a photo call at the Savoy Hotel and posed while sitting in a roomy velvet chair — could it be that Kate has officially taken her throne as the queen of cool? Later, she and Georgia met up once again for a party at the London Film Museum, each arriving in special vehicles with their billboards plastered on the side.
Kate has been one of the faces of Rimmel London for over 10 years and created her own lipstick range for the cosmetics giant in 2011. In addition to making her mark in the beauty business, Kate is also returning to another famous British brand: Topshop. It was announced earlier this week that Kate will renew her partnership with the company and release a 40-piece collection for sale in stores and online in April. About being back with the brand after a three-year hiatus, Kate said, "Now more than ever, with London being at the forefront of fashion . . . it feels like I'm back home working with Topshop."
Fact: lipstick is fun. It can lift not only the features on your face, but your mood as well. And as much as we loved get all dark and mysterious in Winter, it's time to bust out the brights. But just two colours in particular — pink and orange. While there's no hard and fast rules for shade, fuchsia and tangerine steal the show this season. It's Spring and we are excited. The sun is shining and the products are getting equally as bright, as brands release their warm weather offerings. Rita Ora is the latest star to sign on the dotted line to create a makeup range for Rimmel London. She will work with Rimmel to develop a limited-edition range of lip and nail shades that will go on sale in the US early next year. She follows in the footsteps of Kate Moss, who has put her name on two lipstick collections and a set of nail polishes for Rimmel.
Will Rita's collection be as successful as Kate's? Only time will tell. But we predict it will be bold, bright, and full of fun; Rita's not one to shy away from a dramatic makeup look. As she said herself, "I am absolutely obsessed with makeup and being adventurous with colours, so when I was given the chance to make my own collection with Rimmel, it was like a dream come true!" The collection is set to launch in the US in February 2014, and then here in July!

Even though it is really hard to spell, fuchsia is the colour of the new season and if you're not keen on wearing it on your body, it's time to paint those lips. A feminine colour that suits many skin tones (in fact most!), fuchsia lipstick will brighten your complexion and make your teeth look whiter. Often categorised as a shade of pink, fuchsia is actually borne out of mixing blue and red and is closer to a shade of purple. It's also commonly called magenta. Enough trivia, though, shop the trend!
Spring is here! Here at POPSUGAR Australia, we're not only writing our Spring makeup wish list but revisiting some old favourites, too, as we ditch the dark and get serious about colour. While the nails are kind of low-key this year — think barely there pinks, nudes and a spot of taupe — the lips are fuchsia in the form of stains and sheer swipes. To see what we'll be rocking with some flirty dresses just. . .
