This week was always going to be a big one, with Spring Racing Carnival earmarked as one of the hottest events on the calendar — but we got a lot more than just horse races! At Derby Day on Saturday, Hamish Blake and Zoe Foster Blake stepped out for the first time since announcing their big news, while new couple Jesinta Campbell and Buddy Franklin were loved-up in the Emirates Marquee. The Melbourne Cup and Crown Oaks Day followed, where Buddy mingled with international model Kate Upton, but there was a lot going on in-between races too! From movie premieres with Liam and Chris Hemsworth to royal sightings and Rihanna living it up on the beach, there's heaps to see. Click through now to catch up on all the best celebrity action from the week!
When style icons like Coco Rocha step out with our local best dressed regulars (Jennifer Hawkins and Rachael Finch, that's you!) for Melbourne Cup Carnival, and the international style set are out in force, it's impossible to pick just ten celebrities for our weekly best dressed. So today you'll find 20 of the week's most amazing outfits inside the gallery.
Derby Day proved to be black, white and chic all over, while Melbourne Cup's colourful dress code delivered some bright additions to this week's list. Overseas, we saw Nicole Richie in Gucci, Miranda Kerr nail airport dressing and Jess Hart go simple and chic on the red carpet. All that and more right here in the gallery. What are you waiting for?
Stakes Day may be the last big race of Spring Carnival, but it certainly doesn't mean the glitz and glamour is any less! Today, Emirates is bringing out the big guns, flying Victoria's Secret Angel Chanel Iman out to the event at Flemington Racecourse. The stunning model will be wearing an ensemble from Harris Scarfe's Vera Wang collection, and we can't wait to see her on Australian soil. Local celebrities Lauren Phillips, Kris Smith, Scherri-Lee Biggs and Jules Lund will be just some of the stars turning up to the field today — we'll have all the action here as it happens, click through to see the stars at Stakes Day so far!
"I really wanted Coco's hair and make up to reflect to reflect the elegance and sophistication of Crown Oaks Day, but also incorporate a fashion edge," she tells POPSUGAR Australia Beauty. "[Yesterday] Coco was dressed in Anthony Capon's Myer Fashions on the Field Designer Award ensemble, so I paired it with a golden cat-eye with a deep red lip. And because the headpiece — also by Capon — was so dramatic, I kept Coco's hair sleek as not to compete."
The Spring Racing Carnival is so jam-packed with events that it can be hard to keep up with who goes to which races and why. But here's all you need to know about Crown Oaks Day: it's Ladies Day. With female celebrities dominating the attendance list, it's always sure to be a beautifully-dressed crowd full of our favourite stars. This year looks to be no exception with Jennifer Hawkins, Coco Rocha and Whitney Port all lined up to attend, and Myer hosting the famous Fashions on the Field competition before the title horse race.
One man who will cause a scene today? Reality star (and Kardashian relation) Brody Jenner. He's been brought out by Lavazza, and no doubt he will be a popular addition to the guest list. Check out the stars as they get ready and as they arrive at Flemington Racecourse — and we'll be updating all day as the stars arrive. Happy Ladies Day!
First it was the Melbourne Cup, and today it is Crown Oaks Day. Kate Upton and Coco Rocha have already put on quite the beauty show at yesterday's luncheon, and today we're again thrilled to see Australian beauties Jen Hawkins and Jesinta Campbell do their thing alongside our international guests. Follow us to see all the Crown Oaks Day beauty looks — which one will you try at home?
It might only be Crown Oaks Day today but yesterday we get a little taste of what's to come at the VRC Oaks Club Luncheon. International models Kate Upton and Coco Rocha hit the pink carpet in dramatic cream and black ensembles — quite different to their red-heavy Melbourne Cup outfits — and kept the crowd charmed with their big smiles and friendly nature. Local stars Kyly Boldy, Kate Peck and Dami im were also on hand, and the crowd was treated to a performance by iconic singer Belinda Carlisle. Held at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne, the luncheon is a long-held tradtion that celebrates Spring Racing in a slightly more formal way. Today, we'll be seeings a who's who of stars stepping out to celebrate Crown Oaks Day — stay tuned for live coverage of the event!
International guests Coco Rocha and Kate Upton presented at yesterday's VRC Oaks Club Luncheon with all their beauty prowess. The models donned black and white to the glamorous affair, with Coco wearing a particularly bright shade of orange lipstick and wet-look finger-waved hair. Kate's makeup was more subdued, with a plum brown lip and bronzed skin. Click through to see them both up close now, alongside beautiful Aussie Kyly Clarke.
Although the Spring Racing Carnival starts to wind down — did you catch all the Melbourne Cup action yesterday? — we still have a couple of events to stay excited for. Namely, tomorrow's. Crown Oaks Day is arguably the most star-studded event of the season, with a slew of local and international stars always making an appearance. Last year, Kim Cattrall and Mena Suvari joined Aussie girls Jennifer Hawkins and Rachael Finch, the year before Sarah Jessica Parker was on the bill. We'll be bringing you all the 2013 action as it happens tomorrow, but for now, take a look at the best pictures from Oaks Days past.
