Stella McCartney is clearly the loyal type, employing yet again the considerable talents of snapper duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and the gamine looks of Natalia Vodianova for her Summer '13 campaign. The Russian supe' is an old hand at working her her refined, child-like brand of beauty and sophisticated poise to of Stella's seasonal ads, having done so since the Spring 2010 season. This time around, Stella spotlights the bright, sporty colour-blocked creations alongside the textural plays of white-on-white from the S/S 2013 runway offering, as well as the recently relaunched optical line (hitting stores March) and a new hero bag — the Bailey Boo. Kate Middleton-Esque Liner at Stella McCartney Spring 2013
There are two things that the Stella McCartney girl does well: beautiful, radiant skin and, more recently, look-at-me eyes. Fresh from wowing the Fash Pack in Paris with electric blue lashes at the A/W 2012 show, for Spring 2013, there's a more Kate Middleton approach to her look thanks to statement under-eye liner. Makeup artist Jeanine Lobell used Sunday Riley Gel Pencil in Pitch Black to create the look but you can try your hand at it with Mirenesse Tight Liner Hydra Gel Eye Liner ($29.95). Team with relaxed, low-fi strands and a pretty pale pink polish.
Neon, Lace, Florals and Leopard Print: Stella McCartney's Spring Fantasy Land
Stella McCartney's fashion presentations always have a tendency to combine function with play, and today's Spring '13 offering in New York was no exception. Making use of the picturesque location, fun printed clothes, worn on models who drank champagne and mingled with guests, were presented alongside activities such as croquet (Solange Knowles got in on the act), bubble-blowing and good ol' fashion ring toss. It was the perfect accompaniment to a collection which boasted neon touches amongst plaid and florals, head to toe leopard print, pale blue and white suiting and the dreamiest combination of lace and fringing we've seen in a long time.
