This Week's Top 10 Celebrity Beauty Looks

We had a lot of beautiful looks to pore over this week, what with a fancy Vogue dinner and the 2013 Cannes Film Festival taking place, but we had to be selective and whittle our list of favourites down to 10. When it comes to the absolute best, no-holds-barred beauty looks of the week, we have to be wowed — and wowed we were when we caught sight of Cara Delevingne's Cannes look. It was dramatic, sexy and could've easily gone wrong. . . but it was so right. Jennifer Lawrence also opted for a bold lip, and speaking of bold, we were huge fans of Nicole Kidman's futuristic ponytail. We were spoiled for choice this week, with a bunch of our favourite beauties stepping out with new hair and makeup styles that made us look twice. Jennifer Lawrence stole the show at the GLAAD Media Awards on Sunday, when she debuted a brand spankin' new haircut — looks like even she couldn't resist the lure of the lob! Still on hair, Leigh Lezark stopped us in our tracks with her slick and short new style, and Aussie actress Samara Weaving showed us how to nail sexy bed hair. Samara didn't stop there — her cherry red lip won us over too, and she wasn't the only one rocking a bold lip. See who else did what this week. . . 

It was hard to take our eyes off the front-row beauty at this week's MBFWA — with a slew of Aussie women stepping out to support local fashion designers, we were treated to all sorts of hair and makeup adventures. From model/photographer Candice Lake's bare face and bold coral-red lips, to Gracie Otto's deep red and Lara Bingle's burgundy version, it was pretty clear that a strong lip is still going, well, strong, while Phoebe Tonkin's smoky eyes and bronzed skin had us keen to recreate the look (BYO divine khaki green peepers). Of course, we couldn't be too biased — some stars in the US also had some ace looks we loved this week! Step this way for prettiness galore.

We've always loved Drew Barrymore's fresh take on beauty, but she's never looked as beautiful as she does now. Stepping out the promote her makeup line, Flower, she was glowing with good health and happiness, but it was her darker hair colour, glowing skin and dusty rose lips that really caught our attention. Taking a slightly more dramatic turn was Emmy Rossum, who worked a light navy blue/grey smoky eye to perfection — we also love her half-up 'do — and Stacy Keibler, with a bright and bold lip. Week after week, we're inundated with pictures of gorgeous celebrities trying out new beauty trends and hairstyles. This week was no exception, and picking out a top 10 was no mean feat! But when it came down to it, we had to pick which hair and makeup adventures we actually wanted to copy ourselves. And between lovely Lara Bingle's dramatic cat-eye flick, formed to perfection, Jennifer Hawkins' beach-to-bar waves and Frieda Pinto's barely-there lip colour and smoky eye (and more!), we have plenty cool new trends to try. There's something about a big, genuine, happy smile that makes anyone look their absolute best. Of course, Diane Kruger's immaculate makeup and hair didn't hurt the cause, but this week we were blown away by how happy she seems — and how fantastic she looks for it! We love what she's done with her hair, pulling it back sleekly enough that it shares the limelight with those incredible earrings. Emilia Clarke was another star to tuck her hair behind her ears, which framed her face (and impressive eye makeup!) beautifully. Megan Gale opted for a fresh topknot, Barbara Palvin worked one of the sexiest cat-eye flicks we've seen, and Alexa Chung got along with a matte pink lip like a house on fire. Between front-row Fashion Week sightings, the Brit Awards and pre-Oscars parties, we had a lot of events to cast our eye over for the top beauty looks this week. As usual, our favourite hair and makeup mavens pulled out all the stops with their looks: Miranda Kerr was looking gorgeous, with bright lips and pretty eyes, while style icon Miroslava Duma had us oohing and aahing over her cute braids. This week, it's like all our favourite beauties got the memo to step it up a notch — everyone looked next-level amazing. It was hard work selecting only ten, but gosh, these ten are superb. Rihanna owned the red carpet at the Grammys with her beautiful curls and perfect skin, while Miley Cyrus' red-hot red lip at the Marc Jacobs show in New York had everyone talking for all the right reasons. Alexa Chung was understated and cool, with a bright pop to spice things up, and Olivia Palermo? Well, her hair's so perfectly shiny it's criminal. As the days hurtle towards Christmas (two days!), events are starting to become few and far between — but that in no way means we were short of a beauty look we loved! As is only natural, the woman leading the charge was brand spankin' new Miss Universe — American Olivia Culpo! Some week's it's all about the lips, others it about the glittery take on eyeshadow, but this week, so much celebrity beauty came down to the hair. Many of our favourites were working bold hairstyles that we can't wait to copy — from Miranda's va-va-voom voluptuous curls, to Blake Lively's slinky waves and Ke$ha's cool braid. It wasn't just about the hair, though — Amanda Seyfried's amazing eyeliner has to be seen to be believed and we're basically head over heels for Megan Fox's so-vampy-it-hurts look.
