VANS Warped Tour

Interesting...very, very interesting. It's not everyday you see a 16 year old rock a pair of stripper heels, but I guess Taylor Momsen is no ordinary teenager. The Gossip Girl star and singer chose a corset-style studded slip, sheer tights and clear platform heels with insertable "tips" slot for her performance at the Vans Warped Tour in California this month. It seems she isn't the only one who favours the perspex heels, with Julia Restoin-Roitfeld admitting to Vogue Australia recently that she also buys acrylic shoes from stripper stores. Look, I'm no prude, but don't you think this outfit is a little inappropriate for anyone, other than, you know, a stripper? What do you think? Is Taylor Momsen's on stage outfit inspiring or just plain wrong?

I'll take a hot pink or coral lipstick over a heavy smoky eye any day of the week so Taylor Momsen's off-(Gossip Girl)duty look is never really my thing. Sorry, Taylz.. What do you think of her racoon-inspired, heavy-on-the-ebony-eyeshadow style that she wore when her band, Pretty Reckless, performed at the VANS Warped Tour? I get that she's trying to show how far she's come from being Little J, but do you think she'd be wise to tone down the smokiness?
