Super talented Sydney designer Rachel Gilbert really needs no introduction. Her stunning dresses can be seen on red carpets all over the world, and she's recently started her own bridal line — fitting, as Rachel was a blushing bride herself just yesterday when she married handsome beau Tom Williams in Sydney's Rose Bay. In honour of Rachel's big day (we can't wait to see pics!), we're taking another look at some of the beauty secrets Rachel has up her sleeve. We're happy to admit that The Voice has taken over our Monday nights. And as we sat, glued to our screens last night, applauding Diana on not only a stellar performance, but also a cute-as-a-button outfit and killer makeup look, we noticed a few other beauty details worth mentioning. Like Joel's new hair, which he had coloured just before the show, and Delta's hot lip — yes, we know the colour — and Seal's latest manicure. And that was just the coaches. We haven't even got to Team Joel's new tatts. Take it all in now and stay tuned for more of the same next week.
Australian ghd creative director Renya Xydis has a string of high-profile clients including Cate Blanchett and Nicole Kidman, runs her own salons in Sydney, and directs the hair for the sass & bide London Fashion Week shows. Amidst her schedule, we caught up with Renya for a snoop through her makeup bag, which includes a red-hot nail polish, as well as a hair serum to banish flyaways for good.
I've always been intrigued by "relaxing" hair treatments, but the thought of losing any movement in my hair has always been a turn off. I've got naturally curly hair by default, though after years of balayage, my curls have developed more into a frizzy birds nest than bouncy waves. As soon as I heard about the Brazilian Blowout Zero technique, I was keen to learn more. Unlike its predecessor, the standard Brazilian Blowout, the Zero promises to give the same frizz-free results minus the harsh chemicals a lot of Keratin straightening treatments on the market still include.
