Kristen, Ashley, and Nikki Go Glam at the Breaking Dawn Premiere

An event as huge as the Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiere calls for full-on glamour, and the Twilight ladies didn't disappoint. Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene, and Nikki Reed all lit up the red carpet, and the best part about these three ladies? They all embodied a completely different look, and each one pulled it off flawlessly:

Kristen went with a sideswept hairstyle. Her hair was twisted back to one side at the nape of her neck (pictured at bottom left), secured with pins, and then finished off with glossy, voluminous curls. Her eye makeup was a smouldering metallic smoky eye with amped-up lashes, which paired perfectly with her hot pink lipstick. For a similar look, try Estée Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Magnetic Magenta ($45).

Stylist Ted Gibson created a gorgeous "princess" look for Ashley. He blow-dried her hair using a round brush before twisting small sections around the entire head and securing with a silver barrette. A few spritzes of his brand's Beautiful Hold Hairspray completed the style. Ashley's makeup artist, Vanessa Scali, stuck to the pink family, using Mark Just Pinched Blush Tint in Cheeky ($15) on her cheeks and Mark In a Whirl Marbelized Lip Gloss in Pink Soufflé on her lips.

Nikki's hair was styled by Wella stylist Mara Roszak, who opted for a low bun (pictured at lower right) that's easy for anyone to pull off. After parting her hair and pulling it into a low ponytail at the nape of her neck, Mara looped Nikki's hair back into the elastic, wrapping the excess around. A light spray of Wella Professionals Shimmer Delight added shine.

Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting Eugene Souleiman, the global creative director care and styling of Wella Professionals. Eugene has worked with the likes of Lady Gaga, but he is also a true visionary when it comes to runway hair in the fashion industry. Eugene is known for pushing the boundaries of runway hair, he takes risks and those risks soon become trends. He interprets the designers' ideas and we end up seeing something truly unique on the models. Although the session was about Eugene recreating two runway looks (from Missoni and Haider Ackermann), I walked away with a really solid understanding of the new season hair trends. Curious? 2012 MBFWA: Beautiful Assassins at Christopher Esber

"She's the beautiful assassin," Kate Squires (Napoleon Perdis) said of the Christopher Esber woman this season. "Think Uma Thurman in Gattaca." Skin was fresh and natural but had a sheen to it. "It's as though she's just been working out," Squires said. She used Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Napoleon Complex Skin Renewal Serum, Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer and the new Off-Duty Tinted Moisturiser to "give skin that glow and hydration." Orange Sherbet Color Disc and Light Patrol Luminzer Palette Rose were used to create a "natural smoky eye" and then clear gloss was added over the top just before models hit the runway to create a glossy sheen "that's almost dripping." Renya Xydis (Wella Professionals) kept things "clean and tailored" at the front of the hair but knitted the back into a 12-braid plait. "It's a basket weave which we then rolled up into a bun" at the nape of the neck. Xydis used Wella SP Elegant Shape, the Cloud Nine Irons, Sebastian Professional Volupt Spray and Sebastian Professional Form Re-Shaper to create the look. Essie's Ballet Slippers was used on fingers and toes.

2012 MBFWA: Futuristic Mermaids at Magdalena Velevska

To tie in with Magdalena Velevska's aquatic-themed collection, Kate Squires (Napoleon Perdis) created "futuristic mermaids" through makeup. The star, and certainly the most eye-catching detail of the look was the opaque neon yellow lip, which, if you're not brave enough to emulate, Squires suggests toning down with a yellow gold shadow: "apply a bit in the centre over a nude lip," she recommends. The skin was bronzed with a subtle rosiness on the cheeks. "It's that holiday skin that's just on the verge on being burnt." Light Patrol Luminzer Palettes in Bronze and Gold played a key role and clear mascara finished the look to give that wet-lash feel. Renya Xydis (Wella Professionals) created a highly-stylised wet-look hairstyle that was twisted off of the face. "There's no technique as such," she said of the style because twists were chosen over plaits. To get hair wet "but still malleable" Xydis used Sebastian Volupt Spray after prepping with Wella Professionals SP Hydrate Finish and finishing with lots of Wella Professionals SP Perfect Hold. Nails were done by Miss Frou Frou. A base shade of Flesh was used with four different polishes being used as tip colours: Mint, Ashfelt Junge, Sorbet and Zest.
