Sisley to Launch Sisleÿa Anti-Aging Concentrate For Body

Back in 1999, Sisley revolutionised the skincare market with its launch of Sisleÿa Global Anti-Age.

Back in 1999, Sisley revolutionised the skincare market with its launch of Sisleÿa Global Anti-Age. 10 years in the making, the face cream featured 50-plus active ingredients to target all signs of ageing — fine lines, dehydration, loss of density, uneven skin tone and hormonal changes — not just one, as other anti-ageing creams had done in the past. Still a cult favourite, fans have long asked the inevitable question: when is Sisleÿa for my body launching? They've finally got their answer: April 29. Not one to rush themselves when it comes to creating the perfect product, Sisley wanted to launch something with the potency of an anti-ageing serum and the richness of a cream. And so Sisleÿa Anti-Aging Concentrate Firming Body Cream ($450) was born. Sure, it doesn't come cheap, but with a bevy of plant-based active ingredients — including dill seed extract to boost elastin and einkorn wheat to protect collagen from the ageing process — and a promise to be as effective as the original, we're predicting it'll still fly off shelves. Actually, given that there's already a long waiting list, we know it will. And fast.

Sisleÿa Anti-Aging Concentrate Firming Body Cream will be available exclusively at David Jones from April 29.

WIN a Bottle of Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair

Backstage at Fashion Week, Estée Lauder Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux likes to prep the skin by mixing Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair with a dab of moisturiser.

Backstage at Fashion Week, Estée Lauder Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux likes to prep the skin by mixing Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair with a dab of moisturiser. Why? Because, when the winning combination is massaged into skin, it creates that beautiful lit-from-within glow. But it does much more than just make the skin look good. As Pecheux — who helms the makeup team at shows such as Derek Lam and Doo.Ri — says, it “brings skin back to life.”

The first company to introduce the repair category back in 1982, repair serums feature concentrated active ingredients to target specific concerns such as ageing. Advanced Night Repair has been clinically proven to not only repair past damage (think wrinkles, age spots and dryness), but to protect against future damage for younger, smoother, more radiant looking skin.

Repair serum couldn’t be easier to introduce to your regime — you apply it to freshly-cleansed skin before your moisturiser. You can also mix a little into your foundation to give an additional boost of radiance. That’s another Pecheux trick.

You could WIN a bottle of the award-winning Advanced Night Repair simply by liking the Estée Lauder Facebook page and leaving a Drop of Advice you live by. Plus every entry receives a FREE deluxe sample!

Gwyneth Paltrow Says She'll Take Wrinkles Over Botox

Gwyneth Paltrow gets her sexy on in the March issue of US Harper's Bazaar.

Gwyneth Paltrow gets her sexy on in the March issue of US Harper's Bazaar. Shot by Terry Richardson, Gwyneth shows off perfect pins in several slit-to-the-hip/naval creations. Giving a rare insight into life with husband Chris Martin, she moves on to the topic of ageing — Paltrow's turning 40 in September — revealing that she won't be turning to Botox any time soon: "I'll take my wrinkles. I don't like the Botox thing." But "little things, like lasers," well those she does do. And of deciding when to put herself on one of her famous detoxes, she says: "My skin won’t be good, I'll feel cranky, and then I'll just know it’s time." But aside from that, "I like bread and cheese and wine," she says. Here's more from Gwyneth Paltrow in Harper's Bazaar.

Meet the Next Big Buzz Ingredient in Beauty: Turmeric

Green tea, caffeine and açaí berries have previously been touted as buzz-worthy beauty ingredients, but now it's turmeric's time.

Green tea, caffeine and açaí berries have previously been touted as buzz-worthy beauty ingredients, but now it's turmeric's time. The vivid ochre yellow powder is typically used in Indian cuisine, not only to flavour and add pigment, but also as an Ayurvedic medicine as the spice is reportedly said to benefit Alzheimer's disease, arthritis and other disorders.

It's now being hailed as the new buzz ingredient by beauty experts, particularly Vasso Petrou, who is responsible for forecasting the trends for P&G (whose brand portfolio includes Olay, SK-II, Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Gillette and many more). She's picked it as a super food to watch out for in the beauty realm as it is a great antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and has potential to lighten skin and even skin tone making it an all-round anti-ageing wonder. So where can you find turmeric now?

Find Out Carine Roitfeld's Super Simple Anti-Ageing Trick

She's the former editor of Vogue Paris with a penchant for lace-up leggings and kohl-rimmed eyes but Carine Roitfeld's mantra for staying youthful is surprisingly less rock-chick and more simple than you might suspect: just hold yourself well.

She's the former editor of Vogue Paris with a penchant for lace-up leggings and kohl-rimmed eyes but Carine Roitfeld's mantra for staying youthful is surprisingly less rock-chick and more simple than you might suspect: just hold yourself well. She says, "When you're getting old, obviously you try to put on the best cream, you have massages, you try to stay beautiful, but I think wrinkles can sometimes be more beautiful than having none. The most important thing is posture: when you get old, it's the way you walk, the way you stand, that shows it." So there you have it. Stand up straight s'il vous plaît. Do you agree with Carine? Anti-Ageing Haircare

Anti-ageing is no longer the sole domain of skincare. Recently we've seen many haircare brands release products designed specifically for mature hair to turn back the hands of time and help to add volume, density and shine back into strands. Whilst the movement has quite reached the supermarket brand, you can still get anti-ageing haircare products without breaking the bank.

The New Anti-Ageing Secret: Just Cut Down On Calories!

We do everything we can to turn back the hands of time but scientists from the University of Gothenburg have found a simple and cheap way to prevent ageing: cutting down on calories!

We do everything we can to turn back the hands of time but scientists from the University of Gothenburg have found a simple and cheap way to prevent ageing: cutting down on calories! It seems that a healthy diet not only helps you live longer, but also look younger. Mikael Molin, who conducted the research, says:

"We are able to show that caloric restriction slows down ageing by preventing an enzyme, peroxiredoxin, from being inactivated. This enzyme is also extremely important in counteracting damage to our genetic material. Impaired Prx1 function leads to various types of genetic defects and cancer."

Cutting out the risk of cancer and looking more youthful? We don't need telling twice. We'll be cutting out the carbs from now on.
