We couldn't contain our excitement when pictures from the amfAR Gala came rolling in on Friday — someone must have sent a memo about stepping up the beauty looks, because they were the best we've seen in a while! Leigh Lezark led the way with her Gatsby-inspired hair and sexy, smoky eyes, while Jennifer Lopez let her golden glow steal the spotlight. Elsewhere in the world, Lauren Conrad nailed yet another up-high hairstyle, though this time she went for a more polished look, and Cara Delevingne smouldered in charcoal-lined eyes. We had a lot of beautiful looks to pore over this week, what with a fancy Vogue dinner and the 2013 Cannes Film Festival taking place, but we had to be selective and whittle our list of favourites down to 10. When it comes to the absolute best, no-holds-barred beauty looks of the week, we have to be wowed — and wowed we were when we caught sight of Cara Delevingne's Cannes look. It was dramatic, sexy and could've easily gone wrong. . . but it was so right. Between new haircuts, updated styles, slicked locks and lots of ombré, hair certainly stole the show in this week's celebrity beauty round-up. It was hard to take our eyes off the front-row beauty at this week's MBFWA — with a slew of Aussie women stepping out to support local fashion designers, we were treated to all sorts of hair and makeup adventures. From model/photographer Candice Lake's bare face and bold coral-red lips, to Gracie Otto's deep red and Lara Bingle's burgundy version, it was pretty clear that a strong lip is still going, well, strong, while Phoebe Tonkin's smoky eyes and bronzed skin had us keen to recreate the look (BYO divine khaki green peepers). We've always loved Drew Barrymore's fresh take on beauty, but she's never looked as beautiful as she does now. Stepping out the promote her makeup line, Flower, she was glowing with good health and happiness, but it was her darker hair colour, glowing skin and dusty rose lips that really caught our attention. Taking a slightly more dramatic turn was Emmy Rossum, who worked a light navy blue/grey smoky eye to perfection — we also love her half-up 'do — and Stacy Keibler, with a bright and bold lip.
