Granny's Day Out: WildFox's Resort '12 Makes Old Age Chic!

Need a cute-but-easy Halloween costume?

Need a cute-but-easy Halloween costume? Why not take inspiration from WildFox's Resort '12 look book? It may not be ghoulish, but the clever nursing home inspired styling would be a) easy to replicate at home and b) is still kinda stylish in a weird-but-fab Golden Girls way. Think headscarves tied under the chin, gardening gloves, floral-on-floral prints and oversized spectacles. The only mandatory accessory is a pastel-hued wig. Halloween aside, the latest collection is so cute it's making us look forward to our twilight years. Stockists: (03) 9528 7300.

It's Electric: Blue Hair Is Having a Moment in the Fun

No longer does the term "blue hair" conjure images of older ladies with hair set and sprayed to helmet-head proportions.

No longer does the term "blue hair" conjure images of older ladies with hair set and sprayed to helmet-head proportions. Instead, the blue-haired look of 2012 takes a fresh, youthful approach, as certain stars have demonstrated as of late. Most recently, Jaime King debuted a bevy of blue strands, alternating in colour from baby-hued to royal. Then there's Katy Perry, who has displayed just about every shade of blue in hairstyles ranging from crimped ponytails to blunt bobs. In addition, Selena Gomez got in on the trend earlier this year with electric blue and purple strands woven underneath. Even celebrity kids, such as Zahara Jolie-Pitt and Coco Arquette, have had fun with the look. And while blue may be on a streak now, plenty of other celebrities have exhibited sapphire strands in the past — Lauren Conrad, Bai Ling, Juliette Lewis, Kate Bosworth, Kelis, Selma Blair and Gwen Stefani — so don't expect this trend to end here.

2012 Grammys: Katy Perry

Katy Perry's hair-raising Grammys beauty look certainly turned heads.

Katy Perry's hair-raising Grammys beauty look certainly turned heads. Wearing her blue strands in a French roll with lots of volume at the hairline created an ombré effect, whether by accident or design, that is reminiscent of the ocean. Her eyes have been rimmed in silver and finished with her usual false lashes. An opaque baby pink link finished the look off. Thoughts?

Lady Gaga Dyes Hair Grey (Again), Adds in Blue, Let's Discuss

You gotta love Lady Gaga.

You gotta love Lady Gaga. Just when I was resigned to the fact that this Monday would be the slowest on earth, I spot another Gaga dye job. This time she's opted for silver and blue with a dash of black thrown in for good measure. She's certainly given new meaning to the term salt 'n' pepper. Personally I'll always like her canary yellow strands, but what do you think of her latest look which she showed off in London Town? Random patches of teal . . . hot or not?

2010 MTV Movie Awards: Katy Perry

Not to be outdone in the wacky hair colour stakes, Katy Perry has seen Rihanna's new red hair and raised it a blue wig.

Not to be outdone in the wacky hair colour stakes, Katy Perry has seen Rihanna's new red hair and raised it a blue wig. It's been styled in her signature way: Bettie Page bangs and curled ends, but really, what I want to know is, when celebs will tire of dressing like Smurfs? Red I can deal with, blue, not so much. I do however like her killer black and white winged eye. Just don't get me started on the lashes . . . What do you think?
