Much has been made of Sam "I'm just a brickie from Perth" Worthington chewing gum while presenting next to Jennifer Lopez but he's got more to worry about than getting slammed by the press. Cosmetic surgeons are now saying that chewing gum is the latest thing to cause wrinkles. US-based cosmetic surgeon Dr. Hema Sundaram believes that “chewing gum promotes muscle over-activity and potentially breaks down support tissue within the skin, contributing to volume loss and perhaps loss of skin elasticity.” Maybe that's Sam's Grand Master Plan, though? Wrinkles + Payless shoes = totally unpretentious guy, no?

Oh no. Wait for it. When Megan Barnes made the insane decision to tidy up her lady garden while driving A CAR, her ex-husband took the wheel. From the passenger seat. As you do. (Not.) When police asked her WTF she was thinking (in a much more polite way), she told officers that "she was meeting her boyfriend in Key West and wanted to be ready for the visit." Of course you did, honey. Have you heard of a bathroom? So as well as driving on a suspended licence and being charged with DUI the day before, Megan can add illegal landscaping to the list. Winner. Don't even get me started on the ex-husband-boyfriend saga. Only in America.
(Ps. No one was hurt, thank goodness.)
Just when you thought the ranks of celeb perfumes couldn't get any larger (or odder; yes Tilda Swinton, we're looking at you), a dark horse is entering the game: Jennifer Aniston.
That's right; Jen's rep has confirmed that she's launching her own signature fragrance, which, according to an insider, she's thinking of naming "Aniston."
No word on the scent notes yet, but apparently the fragrance is "all about capturing the idea of romance and freedom at any age." Bless.
What do you think about it all? Are you a long-time Team Aniston fan? Would you wear it? Questions questions . . .
What do Solange Knowles (B's little sis) and Zooey Deschanel have in common — besides their singing abilities and a great sense of style? They, along with model Alejandra Ramos Munoz, have been dubbed spokeswomen for Rimmel London, joining the likes of Kate Moss, Coco Rocha and Georgia May Jagger.
Starting with TV and print ads that will run later this year, each new spokesmodel will represent different Rimmel collections and brands. "Zooey, Solange and Alejandra each bring a distinct look and personality to Rimmel London," Bernd Beetz of parent company Coty told WWD.
I cannot wait to see what Zooey brings to the table (I love her) and am so excited that she's joined the ranks of my very first makeup love. What do you think about it all?
In breaking Botox news, a 16-year-old British girl is being given Botox by her mother, the self-proclaimed "Human Barbie" who's had almost $835,000 of plastic surgery herself. Given the context, I guess, the story isn't terribly surprising but what kills me is the young girl who's using it says she's "met plenty of girls my age who are having these procedures," and "everyone at my school was talking about having B." (B's what the kids are calling Botox, nowadays. Awesome.)
How is Botox something a teenager could possibly even be thinking about, you ask? Well, the girl in question says it's mainly preventative, so that she won't "look haggard and ugly by the time I'm 25." (Because, being 25, that's exactly how I look. Biatch.)
I get wanting to prevent wrinkles before they start, but surely you're going to cause more premature-ageing by worrying about them as a teenager, no?

UK retailer, ASOS.com (who ship to Australia), is the latest to get in on the green action with the launch of the 'Green Room,' a special section of the website devoted to ethical fashion and beauty. The Green Room offers over 200 fabulous eco-friendly products including lines by L’Occitane, Green & Spring, Yes to Carrots, Bellápierre mineral cosmetics and Tigi’s Love Peace & the Planet haircare range. Hmmm. I did not see that one coming. If there's one person I thought would steer clear of the whole celeb scents thing, it's actress Tilda Swinton. She always seems to be left of the middle with her role, lifestyle and red carpet choices; not at all a celebrity fragrance kinda gal, I thought. Wrong.
Tilda is getting her own fragrance. The scent definitely won't be the kind of fruity floral that we've come to know and love from the genre. Notes include Moroccan neroli, rose, vetiver, heliotrope, musk, mandarin, ginger and pumpkin. The perfume's maker, État Libre D'Orange, is known for ground-breaking scents like Incense, Bubblegum and Fat Electrician so you know that Tilda won't be deviating from her classic kookiness too much.
Are you excited, scared or a little bit intrigued? Will you be giving it a whirl?
Uh oh, we're in trouble. Well less us, more our friends in the UK, though I have a sneaky suspicion that our makeup bags may be past their prime, too. According to research revealed by UK retailer Debenhams, the average British woman's makeup bag is four years out of date. Jeez Louise, that's pretty generous with the ol' use-by dates.
Apparently 89 percent of women had no idea about European guidelines for use-by dates and 68 percent of women said they only replaced makeup when it had run out, regardless of its age. Gross. According to Nigel Stanislaus, Maybelline New York Makeup Artist, "Liquids and creams have a shorter shelf life (approx. one year but you can preserve them by keeping the formula cool); powders have a longer shelf life but mascaras are strictly three months." A good rule of thumb according to Nigel is "If a product starts to smell off or the consistency has changed, it's time to go."
How about you ladies, how often do you replace your makeup?
I'm a big H&M fan. As is Kylie, Stella McCartney, Matthew Williamson, Madonna and my mum. I would DIE if it opened here. Especially when I heard this little nugget of information: H&M is launching an organic skincare line in March. Uh huh. In keeping with the brand's simple style, the range features everyday essentials like shower gel, body scrub, body lotion, hand cream and lip balm in raspberry and melon or lavender and mint. Yum. The range features organic ingredients such as organic apple juice, jojoba and beeswax that have been certified by ECOCERT. Prices start at €3.90 which is the equivalent to $5.90 so, Mr. H&M, if you're reading this, please, please, please, please, please open a store in Australia. Preferably Sydney.
Attention Ryan Reynolds fans. The fragrance market just got a whole lot sexier, as the handsome actor has just been named the face of a brand-new Hugo Boss fragrance. Specifics about the scent have yet to be provided, but I imagine it will smell like sexiness in a bottle. (Swoon.)
Whatever the case, it looks like Ryan is keeping it all in the family. If you recall, his wife Scarlett Johansson is the spokeswoman for Dolce & Gabbana's Rose The One and The One fragrances. "Boss is a brand that not only represents classic style and sophistication, but inspires men to work hard, embrace opportunities, and strive for success in all aspects of their lives," he told WWD.
Are you looking forward to checking out the scent of Ryan?
