Jennifer Lopez has accomplished many things in her career and over the weekend she celebrated another major milestone. The signer, dancer and beauty icon was fêted by her fragrance partner, Coty, at an intimate party to mark the 10-year anniversary of her first scent, Glow. Since its release, Glow has garnered a whopping US$1 billion in retail sales, won numerous awards and was the foundation to which the House of Jennifer Lopez — which includes 18 fragrances in total — was built upon. According to Jennifer, her newest scent, Glowing, was "created to pay homage to the fragrance that set it all up for us." Glowing's bottle is Baccarat crystal-inspired and lights up when the actuator is pressed. (Even Jennifer's four-foot celebratory cake, which Coty presented to her after the press conference, lit up on the top layer.) In addition, the fragrance is prominently placed in the hot new video for her latest single, "Dance Again," following Jen's sexy dance sequence with boyfriend and fellow dancer Casper Smart. The pair are embarking on an international tour this Summer and when asked what beauty item she'll bring on the road, Jen replied, "Sunscreen!"

Last year a perfume deal was said to be in the works for Nicki Minaj and now comes the official news that she's set to launch her first fragrance. Nicki's debut scent will launch through Give Back Brands LLC (the same company that released Justin Bieber's Someday), WWD reports. "I have always been a huge fan of great fragrances," Nicki said. "This is yet another extension of my creative expression. I designed the scent and bottle with my Barbz in mind." Her Barbz (fans, for those who don't speak Minaj) won't have to wait long; the scent will arrive this September. No word on what the juice will smell like or how the bottle will be designed, but if we had to guess there will be plenty of pink — and a little cheetah print, of course. Are you excited?

If Taylor Swift's first foray into fragrance is anything to go by, there's still a huge demand for celebrity scents — especially when they're launched by young singers — so we're predicting big things for Selena Gomez's debut perfume. After all, the 19-year-old has a huge (not to mention loyal) fan base that even withstood her announcing that she was Justin Bieber's girl. Something not to be taken lightly by Bieber fans. Gomez asked her fans to be involved in the perfume process by voting for their favourite notes to be included. Now all the votes are in, we've got our first indication of what the scent will smell like: a fruity floral with raspberry as the top note, a heart of purple freesia and vanilla as the core base note. It's official: Madonna is launching her first perfume. Dubbed Truth or Dare by Madonna, the scent pays homage to her 1992 documentary, Madonna: Truth or Dare, but it also pays homage to her mum, who passed away when Madonna was just five. "My oldest memory of my mother is her perfume. I carry it with me everywhere. She always smelled like gardenias and tuberose, an intoxicating mixture [that was] feminine and mysterious. I wanted to recreate this scent, but with something fresh and new about it as well. Something honest and yet daring — hence the name Truth or Dare," Madonna told WWD.

The floral scent is made up of a blend of vanilla, addictive woods and narcotic florals, making for a juxtaposition of darkness and lightness. Similarly, the bottle also expresses opposite themes of naughty and nice: a traditional shape, but with modernistic, tactile accents. Do you like it? Check out the bottle . . .

Nicole Richie just inked a fragrance deal with New York company TPR (they're the people behind Oscar Blandi and Freeze 24/7 products), according to WWD. She's in good company, of course, given how many of her friends and acquaintances already have scents of their own; Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian are just a couple of the names that spring to mind. In fact, Nicole's already inspired a beauty product albeit not a fragrance. Longtime friend Charlotte Ronson recently debuted an eyeshadow quad designed for Nicole. Given the excitement surrounding that shadow, it's not surprising that Ms. Richie decided to give beauty products a go herself. The scent, which is supposed to be "cool and classy with an edge" is slated to be in stores by September 2012. What do you think about the news? Are you excited to smell it?

I have good news and bad news for celebrity fragrance fans: Katy Perry is launching a second scent this November but according to WWD, it will be sold exclusively at Nordstrom stores and on Nordstrom.com so a trip to the US might be in order. The forthcoming scent will be an extension of Katy's first fragrance, Purr, which debuted last year to astounding success. Katy crafted the scent while on her California Dreams tour, but there's no word yet on what notes will be. As for the name — Katy is inviting her fans to guess. Starting next week, you can tweet your prediction to Katy and be entered to win the new fragrance or even a chance to meet the singer at a launch event in December. There's lots of news in the olfactory arena these days. It seems that Madonna (not for the first time, either) is rumoured to be in talks with celebrity eau giant Coty to make her own fragrance. Meanwhile, Estée Lauder has already signed a deal with designer label Marni to create a scent, and the brand is also supposedly in talks with Tory Burch about a perfume. (Although there's also word that Burch may be set to make a deal with Coty.) While companies have wanted to make a Madonna perfume for decades now, her demands have surpassed what any could match. She was rumoured to be signing deals in 1997 and 2007, but neither ever came to fruition. This time could be different, though, since she and daughter Lourdes Leon have their Material Girl line, which already includes body spray. Would you be keen to try Madge's scent?
