One of Australia's golden fashion couples have taken their love to the next level, with Bambi Northwood-Blyth announcing her engagement to Ksubi co-founder Dan Single. Dan, who has a son with former partner, stylist Pip Edwards, proposed to the doe-eyed beauty — famed for her incredible untamed brows, she's modelled for Chanel, rag & bone and Balenciaga, to name a few — in Thailand over the Christmas break. Dan, 33, presented Bambi, 21, with a heart-shaped black onyx ring and it's believed the couple hope to marry early next year. Huge congratulations to the happy couple! Stars Get Into the Spring Racing Spirit at Caulfield Cup Day
Spring racing carnival season continued on Saturday with Caulfield Cup Day in Melbourne. Lots of celebrities made their way to the David Jones marquee, where a mix of TV personalities, fashion identities and models mingled. The 7PM Project host Dave Hughes wore a hat for the occasion and enjoyed a drink with his wife Holly Ife, while couple-about-town Dan Single and Bambi Northwood-Blyth met up with The Slap star Alex Dimitriades, who played DJ at the event. Aussie models Samantha Harris and Jessica Gomes both wore similar ruched styles on the day; Lara Bingle stuck to her signature black, and Megan Gale, Emma Freedman and Camilla Franks added some colour in their bright outfits.
Scope Caulfield Cup's Celebrity Fashions on the Field!
Melbourne's Caulfield Cup drew a well-dressed crowd on Saturday, with a number of fashion's A-list frocking up for a day of trackside fun. A strong model contingent made for a beautiful crowd, with Lara Bingle, Megan Gale, Bambi Northwood-Blyth, Samantha Harris and Jessica Gomes making an elegant (and genetically blessed) bunch. Seems like the girls took our advice too, swapping lightweight fascinators for headwear with a bit more substance. Want to get a better look? Step inside to see who wore what on Saturday...
Celebs Get Into the Spring Racing Spirit at the Caulfield Cup!
Celebrities flocked to the Caulfield Cup in Melbourne on Saturday, with many hitting the David Jones marquee where The Slap star Alex Dimitriades was on the decks. Many took Fab's advice and skipped the traditional floral fasciantor option, with Jessica Gomes wearing a felt fedora and Bambi Northwood-Blyth ditching the hat in favour of a twisted up 'do that had a rockabilly flair to it. Camilla Franks brought her signature brights to the table, teaming her yellow headpiece with a purple and blue eye. Scope all the trackside action!
Brian, Jack and More Gather at Monster Hall For Lady Gaga
Hundreds of “Little Monsters” who gathered and braved the cold in front of Sydney Town Hall in an array of Lady Gaga-inspired costumes in order to see the star weren’t the only lucky ones who had scored tickets to the gig last night. Around 200 Aussie VIPs were invited to the special one-off performance at Monster Hall, including Brian McFadden, Australia’s Got Talent contestant Jack Vidgen, Lisa Wilkinson and Megan Washington. Brian brought his girlfriend Vogue Williams to the concert while Jack smiled big for the cameras, showing off his new dental veneers. Lucky Today co-host Lisa was having her second serving of Gaga this week as she sat in on Tracy Grimshaw’s A Current Affair interview on Monday.
2011 RAFW: Celeb Spotting From Day Four!
It seems like we say this a lot, but yesterday’s schedule at RAFW featured some of the most anticipated shows, like Dion Lee, Ellery and Josh Goot. Unsurprisingly, the celebrity turnouts at these shows gave us almost as much to ogle, with Lara Bingle switching from a black tuxedo to sexy bodycon dress between shows and BFF Teresa Palmer donning a metallic number. Jennifer Hawkins was the star attraction at Ellery but over at Josh Goot the celebrities stayed off the catwalk, with Sophie Lowe, Ruby Rose, Kyly Boldy, Michael Clarke and Susie Bubble enjoying the fashion from the front row. 2011 RAFW: View From the Front Day Four!
We’ve reached the last day of RAFW but designers and celebs are showing no signs of slowing down. The front row at Ellery featured besties Lara Bingle and Teresa Palmer, while Jennifer Hawkins modelled a tousled ’do on the catwalk. At Josh Goot, Sophie Lowe showed some off some side braid style and Erin McNaught wore her hair in signature loose waves.
Party People: Stylish Celebs At David Jones' A/W '11 Show
Step aside from the glamour of the catwalk for second and to take a peek at the hot-to-trot stars who turned out to see the Autumn/Winter offerings from David Jones. From Dannii Minogue (whose own label Project D made its catwalk debut), to Lara Bingle in Bianca Spender (love), to Kate Waterhouse who brought her family (cute!) — it was one star-filled front row! Other notable celebs included Emma Lung, Gracie Otto and Pia Miranda, Megan Gale, Sarah Murdoch, and Alyssa McClelland who all turned up looking glam-a-rama. Oh and don't forget Melissa George — who we think looked gooorgeous! Click through to see what the style set wore to last night's fashion fest!
News Now: Oh-Oh, Ksubi Did a Bad, Bad Thing!
So, if you live in Sydney and happened to pass Oxford St in Paddington recently, you may have noticed a shop space boasting an 'In-N-Out Burger, Coming Soon' sign on the front window. I was deliriously excited about this, as was the entire Sugar team, who promptly started imagining lunchtime field-trips to the burger chain once it opened. Sigh, this is where the tears come in. Turns out the shop location is actually prepping for a new Ksubi store to open, not the burger chain. That's right peeps, we've been fooled by Ksubi designers Dan Single and George Gorrow! The head honchos over at In-N-Out in America aren't particularly amused by the practical joke, and have reportedly begun legal action against the Australian designers. Ouchies. Maybe the boys should consider yet another name change — Ksuedbi, anyone?
