Marc Jacobs and his party posse were in London last night, celebrating his upcoming fragrance BANG, which launches here October 24. He managed to pull in quite the crowd: Jaime Winstone, Daisy Lowe, Beth Ditto and Jesus Luz. But all eyes were on Mischa Barton. Known for her sometimes, ahem, dishevelled appearance, the young actress looked smokin' thanks to killer blush and shadow application. It had a similar feel to January Jones' MET Gala look — the exaggerated block of colour — but Mischa also threw a classic winged eye in there, too. Interesting. But somehow it works. I love the whole rock 'n roll meets pretty girl vibe that's extended through her hair and makeup. Don't too? Or not so much?
Q) Have you met Miss Jones? A) Yes but she normally doesn't have such heavy eye makeup. Celeb makeup artist Angela Levin has a sure-fire eye look to make your eyes appear larger and brighter, no matter their size or shape . . .
The best part about using liquid liner is that it gives richly-pigmented smudgeproof results. The worst part? The application process, which can be daunting, to say the least. So we asked Avon's Jillian Dempsey (yes, wife of Patrick) how to make the liquid liner process go a little more smoothly:
Christina Ricci has always had a bit of an edge, and that's exactly what NARS makeup artist Francelle aimed to bring out at the closing of
My least favourite thing about makeup is how it can sometimes crease and cake. HOT. Luckily, there are a few simple steps to stop it from happening. We've already covered how to

OK so the name does imply that lip gloss is meant for adding shine to the lips but, the next time you need a little pick-me-up or you've got an unexpected rendezvous with the guy you've been making eyes at in line for coffee, turn to your trusty friend: the lip gloss. It is a multi-tasking marvel, I tells ya.
