Bella Review: Gentle Face Scrub You'll Love

Now that our skin is done being exposed to excess sun and heavy sunscreens, it's time to get that glow back.

Now that our skin is done being exposed to excess sun and heavy sunscreens, it's time to get that glow back. Chantecaille Bamboo and Hibiscus Exfoliating Cream ($86.95) is just what a Summer complexion needs to smooth out and brighten up the new season. Bamboo powder, in the form of tiny smooth spheres, gives this creamy formula physical scrubbing action to gently slough away dead skin. For even more smoothing and brightening power, plant enzymes help to dissolve flaky layers, while hibiscus flower acids improve cell turnover for a healthier complexion. And the natural floral scent is enough to keep you mentally in Summer!

Yes To Adds Grapefruit to Their Fruit Basket

The fruit basket at Yes to Carrots is growing with the introduction of their new line, Yes to Grapefruit.

The fruit basket at Yes to Carrots is growing with the introduction of their new line, Yes to Grapefruit. Each of the seven new offerings is designed to correct and repair discolouration. "A lot of customers are growing up with us and are now looking for something a little bit different," founder Ido Leffler told WWD. "[They are] starting to worry about how they look in regards to complexion." Grapefruit is a proven remedy for dark spots and has anti-inflammatory benefits, too. The line includes body wash, eye cream, serum, face scrub, body cream, face moisturiser, and the Yes To fan favourite, cleansing wipes. The products will be available in chemists in the US from this March, but we'll keep you posted on Australian on-sale dates. Even as Yes To grows, the brand maintains its devotion to natural beauty (some products are up to 99 percent natural). If you snubbed carrots, passed on tomatoes, side-stepped cucumbers, and brushed off blueberries, the tropical scent and bright packaging will have you saying Yes To grapefruit!

Bella Reviews: St. Ives Fresh Skin Invigorating Apricot Scrub

What it claims: The exfoliating power to reveal smoother, more radiant skin and, not to blow its own trumpet or anything, but it says it "smells amazing."

'Tis been around for a while, Bella, why you just talking about it now? Because it's got a new formulation that now contains 100 percent natural exfoliants and 100 per cent natural apricot extract.

Length of trial period: Old formula: forever; new formula: one week.

Skin state: Not too bad, but the long hours spent hanging around models at RAFW seemed to knock my skin's self-esteem. It went a bit dull, lacklustre and would throw a tanty if it could talk. In definite need of a boost.

The scrub: This falls into the mechanical category; it has a grainy texture (that'll be the walnut shells) that helps work away dead skin and impurities. Great for those who like to feel a product working.

Reader Reviews: Neutrogena® Oil-Free Acne Stress Control™

Today is the second instalment from our Reader Review Panel.

Today is the second instalment from our Reader Review Panel. In case you missed the first one, here's a lil' recap: the Reader Review Panel is a group of everyday guys and girls (OK, mainly girls) who we've asked to try some product for us/you. How do we all benefit from this wonderful scheme? Well, my skin (and typing hands) get a rest for a second, and you, well you get to see what "real women" think about it. Then you might go, hang on a tickety-boo, that sounds like it will suit me, too! See we're all about the matchmaking business here.

They tried the Neutrogena® Oil-Free Acne Stress Control™ Power-Cream Wash and Neutrogena® Oil-Free Acne Stress Control™ Power-Clear Scrub™ ($14.99 each) for us and this is what they thought . . .

Piccolanippy said:

"I LOVE these two products; they both have such a nice, tingling cooling effect right after I wash them off. And since I've been using them both I haven't had any pimples! The Power-Clear Scrub has made my skin so soft and smooth while the Power-Cream Wash has made my skin so clean and free from breakouts or pimples. They are both amazing products and I would definitely recommend them!"

OK, so many of you probably worship at the temple of Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula.

OK, so many of you probably worship at the temple of Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula. I know I do. So you'll no doubt be super-psyched about the new skincare range that Palmer's just launched. I know I am. So the signature cocoa butter formula has been lightened to create the new, five-piece line; and as well as skin-smoothing cocoa butter, the range also features vitamin E, shea butter and white lily. The Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub ($9.99) and Night Renewal Cream ($12.99) are firm favourites of moi. Have you tried any yet? Thoughts?
