Celebrities including Solange Knowles, Kylie Minogue and Rachael Taylor turned out for a special screening of The Great Gatsby in New York today, but it was Emma Roberts who stole the hair show. The actress channelled all things feminine with a loose curls and metallic eyeshadow alongside an adorable gold star hair clip. Emma's pretty addition reminded us of Ashley Madekwe's starry hair moment while visiting Australia late last year. Keep reading.
Katy Perry Joins the Floral Crown Brigade
We're inducting Katy Perry into our floral crown hall of fame, following her appearance at a photocall for The Smurfs 2 at the 5th Annual Summer of Sony party overnight. Floral crowns are always a hit on the red carpet, at the races (we're looking at you Delta Goodrem!), premieres and more, and we can totally see why — they look incredible. Flower headpieces are so pretty, so feminine, so colourful and best of all, so easy to whip up. While you could buy a professionally-made crown at a florist, it's super simple to craft your own. All you need is fishing wire and a couple bunches of your fave flowers — the fuller the better. Thread the flower buds and blooms onto the wire (being sure to include a few bits of greenery, too), then close the fishing wire to make a circle large enough to sit atop your head. Lock it in place with some discreet bobby pins, and voilà! Fit for a pretty princess. Click through the gallery for some celebrity inspiration!
Who Wore It Best? Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning's Headband Hairstyle

It seems Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning had the same idea at the GLAAD Media Awards on the weekend — it's all about a blonde in a headband. Kirsten paired her leather Emilio Pucci LBD with smoky eye makeup and a satin ribbon hairband. Her hair had a voluminous tease at the crown and tucked-in bangs giving a nod to the '60s. On the other hand, Elle wore a modern middle part with a Jennifer Behr Delicate Vine Circlet (approximately $485) for an enchanting look. Which look do you prefer: Kirsten's retro style or Elle's sweet, modern take?

2013 Grammy Awards: Alexa Chung
She might not sing, but boy does she own a red lip. Alexa Chung looks darling at the Grammy Awards with perfectly dishevelled hair (fit with Chanel earrings for hair pins!), and some very pretty lashes. She never overdoes it, and somehow manages to look the right amount of sexy and sweet. Alexa's cheeks are matte but peachy, and those high brows are still doing their thing. Do you love or are you leaving?

Shop the Look: Katharine McPhee's Neon Bobbies
Katharine McPhee's faux bob could fool even the most seasoned hairstylist. By styling her layers in tousled waves, it appears the Smash star had a meeting with the scissors — but it's all an illusion. The shorter top layers perfectly disguise her tucked-under style. Plus, the addition of three bold-coloured bobby pins is both functional and fashionable. Similar hair accessories were spotted on the Rodarte runway, and we've found a near match to Katharine's with the Mimco Pin Pack in Neon Mix ($19.95).
It's easy to play with brightly coloured bobbies, try criss-crossing them or just layering them side by side for a graphic look. Katharine proves you don't have to stick to one colour — she stacked yellow, fuchsia, and lime green pins for a fresh take on the trend. She completed her look with clean makeup and classic red lipstick. Sometimes all you need is a spot of colour.
