Party season is all about dazzling. So why not dazzle your friends and your hair with a sparkly headband that's easy to create yourself? Inspired by the Oscar de la Renta runway, this whimsical piece looks just as pretty as an accent to a dramatic bouffant as it does with your hair down and tousled.
Get the Look: Emma Stone's Golden Chain Headband
While on tour promoting her latest film, The Amazing Spider-Man, Emma Stone was spotted in a necklace-like headband that inspired true jewel envy. The Jennifer Behr delicate laurel leaf bandeaux laid lightly on top of her tousled waves, which were swept into an up 'do. Get a similar look by spritzing damp strands with a sea salt-infused beach spray, such as Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray ($44). Then scrunch your hair with your hands as you blow-dry to create a carefree effect like Emma's. After loosely tossing hair back into a messy bun, top the style off with a golden headpiece to add glamour to an otherwise casual style. Try this Made Swallow Head Band (approx $42), or add a pop of colour with this pink 10 Bell Twist Chain Headband ($12.95). Just be sure to secure your hair jewellery with bobby pins so it will stay put through any occasion.
Dakota Fanning's Halo-Style Headband: Love it or Leave it?
Dakota Fanning's always had an angelic beauty look, but at last night's Vanity Fair Tribeca Film Festival party she upped the angel-factor further by sporting a halo-esque gold chain Jennifer Behr headband with her bright pink Lanvin frock. In an unusual twist, the chain wrapped underneath the side strands of hair rather than on top, resulting in a unique (and a little lopsided) style of headgear. What's your call on this golden girl look from Dakota — heavenly or off the mark?
Who Wore the Headband Trend Best This Week?

When Michelle Williams and Charlize Theron both wore headbands to the Golden Globes, we knew a trend had returned. Last popularised by Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl, 2012's take on the trend is less preppy, more ladylike and vintage. A great example to lead from is Kate Moss in the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 show: teased up 'do topped with a jewelled headband. The perfect high-low glamour ratio. Adopting the trend this week was a slew of stars. We had Gwyneth Paltrow wearing a dainty diamond version at Louis Vuitton - Marc Jacobs: The Exhibition in Paris, while Caroline Sieber picked a pretty pearl one for the same event and Dakota Fanning opted for a black satin band at Cosmo's Fun Fearless Female Awards.
2012 Oscars: Penelope Ann Miller

Penelope Ann Miller is no doubt hoping for a successful night with her movie The Artist. Taking inspiration from the era of the film, Penelope helped to co-design her custom-created Badgley Mischka gown, which she accessorised with Blue Nile jewels. Penelope added a more modern twist through her beauty look which featured a bouffant hairstyle, finished with an on-trend headband, red gloss and metallic shadow. 2012 Golden Globes: Michelle Williams

We were eagerly anticipating Michelle Williams' arrival on the red carpet and now, the wait is over. The actress has accessorised her pixie cut with a vintage Fred Leighton jewelled satin headband and the makeup is in-keeping with her signature style: silver shadow, spidery lashes, a pink flush of blush and a balmy pink lip. Does her look live up to your expectations?

Found: Charlize Theron's Gotham Film Awards Headband

Charlize Theron looked gorgeous at the IFP's 21st annual Gotham Independent Film Awards held in NYC on Monday night. Accompanied by her mother, Gerda Theron, Charlize opted for a black and white Gucci ensemble with a plunging neckline which she teamed with a high-shine pink pout and wavy up 'do. She finished the look with Jennifer Behr's Thin Leather Headwrap (approx $64.75) which is a great way to add a little edge to a soft and romantic hairstyle.
Kate Moss Steals the Show at Louis Vuitton Spring 2012

Kate Moss literally took our breath away as she waltzed around the 48 horses in the fairground carousel that served as a beautiful backdrop for the Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 show. Word is that Moss asked to be in the show and we're so pleased that Marc Jacobs readily obliged her wishes as she absolutely owns the hair and makeup look. That sun-kissed glow, the flirty lashes, glossy lips and teased French roll strike the perfect balance — as Kate always seems to also — between polished and care-free, effortless and elegance.
