Here's wishing you all a lovely Easter break—have fun, be mischievous, eat lots and whip out a new beauty look (or two). Oh, and don't forget to try these super cute Lush Easter eggs ($6.95 each) if you get sick of the real thing . . . the Enviro Egg is perfect for Earth Month! LOVE!
Here's wishing you all a fun-filled and frivolous Australia Day! Please, please, please remember to factor up—the prawns should be frying, not you. But now, lecture over, it's time to hit the beach and have yourself a bonza arvo,
I have a good feeling about 2010. Fab and I were talking about it last night and we both think that it's just going to go off. It will be your year.
Because you know that I think you're totally awesome, right? Well this year, everyone will think that. They'll go, "Hey, who's that girl rocking the bangs?" or "Check that girl out. I would kill to look like her," because honey you are going to nail it.
How can I be so certain? Well I'm in your life now. So if you're ever having a makeup meltdown or a total-friggin-disaster of a crisis then chances are I can help.
Now, hopefully your stocking has been filled with a mountain of treats from your best-loved brands. If not, return it–it's clearly not yours.
Here's to day of chill-axing on the beach (remember your sunscreen for face, body and hair; sorry to nag, I know it's Christmas but I'm on SPF patrol 365 days of the year) and remember these wise words from Benefit founders, Jean and Jane Ford:
"Meals munched while vertical or moving contain *ZERO calories."
With much love and growing anticipation to another year of amazing beauty looks (from Lady Gaga alone),

* I'm 99.98 percent certain that this is a lie, but let's worry about that next year.
When it comes to etiquette, there are some obvious rules. But when it comes to holiday tipping, the "rules" are a little more blurred.
So we consulted Emily Post for a heads-up on holiday tipping: "In these tough economic times it’s important to remember that holiday tipping is truly about saying thank you. With a little creativity you can accommodate everyone on your list this year without blowing your budget," Post explains in the Guide to Holiday Tipping 2009 featured on her website.
While you should never feel obliged to give an extra holiday gift, particularly if the service doesn't warrant it, Post says that any gift, be it a handmade item, purchased gift, or cash tip, should always include a brief handwritten note expressing your appreciation.
Not sure how much to give? According to Post, the general guideline is: "The cost of one salon visit divided for each staff member who works with you." There you have it.
Every year, those in the know wait with baited breath for Estée Lauder’s holiday collection to be unveiled. For many have yet to see anything match the sheer opulence of its solid perfume and powder compacts.
What makes them so special? Well they literally are works of art. Over the years, world renowned artists such as Judith Leiber and Jay Strongwater have worked with the brand to create the limited edition pieces.
The stunning compacts have been going strong since the first pressed powder compact was created in 1963. The complete collection, which totals more than 770 pieces, includes original designs from Mrs. Estée Lauder herself.
The range includes intricate detailing, elaborate CRYSTALLIZED™ Swarovski Elements, a beautiful colour palette and dynamic moving parts.
My pick for 2009 is Jay Strongwater’s Pure White Linen Juke Box ($700).
Available at the Estée Lauder counter at David Jones and MYER.
What with Leo and Al making a big noise about climate change, 2009 has been a year of re-accessing our carbon footprints, seeing where we can cut down on emissions, and with the dreaded-GFC, cutting costs too.
With that all fresh in our minds as we hurtle towards Christmas, regifting (giving an unwanted present that you've received to someone else) – once seen as a ungrateful habit – now seems to be bang on trend, no?
So I want to know if you'll be regifting this Christmas? Or do you feel bad giving away a gift that someone has carefully selected for you?
Hey there, party girl. Have lots of social obligations over the next couple weeks, with too much Grey Goose and not nearly enough chance of some shut-eye?
Don't fret — it happens to everyone this time of year. But there's something you should know: the difference between a small hangover that no-one notices and a total friggin' disaster is a matter of preparedness. Fact.
We've got a six-step plan to help you look great, no matter how much your head and stomach hate you right now. Keep reading . . .
I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of Bryce Dallas Howard in the future since she's been cast in the next Twilight film.
I loved her look at last week's NYC premiere of The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond; the contrast between the shiny, stick-straight blunt bangs and the tousled, wavy texture of the rest of her strands works really well.
It's a great style for the silly season as it's really easy to do:
Apply a medium-hold gel such as L’Oréal Professionnel Texture Expert Gelee Cashmere ($39) to damp locks to provide shine and staying-power. Blow-dry the hair, scrunching with your fingers to create a tousled look. Keep reading . . .
