Vivienne Westwood Thinks Kate Middleton Has Bad Eyeliner

Vivienne Westwood isn't one for keeping her feelings to herself when it comes to Kate Middleton.

Vivienne Westwood isn't one for keeping her feelings to herself when it comes to Kate Middleton. Before the Royal Wedding, Dame Viv insisted that she would not be the wedding dress designer — saying that she would "have to wait until [Kate] kind of catches up a bit somewhere with style" first. Ouch. Now it's the Duchess of Cambridge's makeup application that's getting on the designer's nerves. In an interview with the Sunday Times Magazine, Vivienne said: "I think she's got a problem with eye makeup! The sharp line around her eyes makes her look hard. Either she should be smudgy or wear none." There's no doubt that Kate did an amazing job of her DIY makeup on her wedding day, but we have to say we agree that the bold all-round liner is a little dated. Are you Team Kate or Team Viv?

We thought (ok, hoped) Kate Middleton might change up her beauty and fashion style for the North American tour, but not only have we seen her don an elegant up 'do, whaddya know it, yesterday at the Province House in Charlottetown she pulled another hat out of the bag. Kate's hair was brushed back into a pony tied in the middle of her head, with her long locks left flowing in barrel waves, complete with a small strand of hair wrapped around the base acting as a hairband. While she's continued to work her signature makeup routine — rosy cheeks, check, brown eyeliner, check, pale pink lip, check — we loved seeing the Duchess' hair in this relaxed, low-mainty style. You, too?

Kate's been looking fresh-faced and relaxed while attending functions and events with Prince William and we were chuffed to see her change up her hairstyles a little. Our top picks were the gorgeous half-up, half-down softly curled style with tiny tortoiseshell clips at the crown of her head, and the relaxed up 'do with height at the front and combed back with loose curls pinned in. Game, Set, Match: Kate Middleton's Wimbledon Beauty Look

While we had a few ideas up our sleeve for hair and makeup looks that we thought Kate Middleton should try, we were pleased as punch upon seeing her looking as pretty as a picture in her white frock with Wills at Wimbledon yesterday.

While we had a few ideas up our sleeve for hair and makeup looks that we thought Kate Middleton should try, we were pleased as punch upon seeing her looking as pretty as a picture in her white frock with Wills at Wimbledon yesterday. I won't say she deviated too far from her signature style, but in place of her regular blow-dry, her long dark locks were styled in bouncy, voluminous curls, and if possible looked even glossier than usual. While her makeup was a little more understated, she added a pop of glossy petal-pink lipstick, complementing her blushing pink cheeks. Me likey! For a similar look, apply L’Oreal Professional Texture Expert Curl Corset Aqua Mousse ($30) for perfectly sculpted curls with an added extra shine and MAC Cosmetics Tinted Lipglass in Pink Poodle ($35).

Kate Middleton Sticks With Her Signature Beauty Look

The Royal couple have posed for their official photos for their Canadian tour!

The Royal couple have posed for their official photos for their Canadian tour! Kate looked picture-perfect in her midnight blue suit and sporting her signature beauty style. Kate's hair was parted off centre and blow-dried with softly curled ends, while her makeup consisted of a touch of pink blush applied to the apples of her cheeks and a hint of what looks to be taupe eyeshadow. To complete her natural and fresh-faced look, Kate opted for a few coats of mascara and a dusty pink lipstick. The Duke and Duchess will commence their tour of Canada in one week's time before heading to the US and with various appearances in Hollywood scheduled for the loved-up duo, we're eager to see if she'll switch up her beauty look. Kate Middleton's Beauty Look: Still Into It or Kinda Over It?

With not one, not two, but three social engagements over the long weekend, we were treated to lots of Kate Middleton sightings!

With not one, not two, but three social engagements over the long weekend, we were treated to lots of Kate Middleton sightings! First the Duchess of Cambridge joined her new husband and his family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace after the Trooping the Colour Parade, which marked the Queen's birthday, then there was Prince Philip's 90th birthday celebrations in Windsor the next day, before the fancy Order of the Garter Service yesterday! Kate has become known for her DIY makeup palette and always looks amazing in our eyes, but has appearing at three separate events in such quick succession made you long for something a little different than her signature bouncy blow-dry and rose-cheeked complexion?

Kate Middleton Was Beaming and Beautiful at the Ark 10th Aniversary Dinner!

Kate Middleton was beaming throughout Ark's 10th anniversary black tie dinner in London last night — her first official social engagement as Duchess of Cambridge. Looking amazing in a sequined gown that showed off her svelte figure perfectly, Kate worked her signature makeup palette that she has down pat. She wore brown shadow up to the eye socket and rimmed both the upper and lower lash lines with black, before water-lining her eyes with kohl. Mascara, a wash of pink blush on the cheeks and a pop of pink gloss on the lips finished off the look beautifully. Her gorgeous long locks were blow-dried (likely by James Pryce) and parted just off centre. We love the bouncy curl that frames Kate's face. Check out Kate's Ark beauty look from every angle now!

Kate Middleton's Wedding Makeup: How to Get the Look

Whether or not Kate Middleton did her own wedding makeup remains unknown, but the rumour is she took lessons from makeup artist Arabella Preston to perfect her technique for the big day.

Whether or not Kate Middleton did her own wedding makeup remains unknown, but the rumour is she took lessons from makeup artist Arabella Preston to perfect her technique for the big day. For the perfect bridal glow, Kate chose a rosy-toned blush with a co-ordinating pink gloss. She accentuated her look even further with black eyeliner (her staple) and a smoky blend of charcoal and taupe shadows on the lids and creases. It's a classic palette that's also universally flattering on just about all skin tones.
