Yesterday marked International Lipstick Day and to celebrate, we're featuring five lipsticks we know we can rely on. The key to a good lippie is a rich pigment and a long-wearing formula that will stay put from our morning coffee all the way through to a cheeky cocktail after work, with minimal reapplication and upkeep. Ideally, a lipstick won't bleed (this is when it falls into the teeny tiny fine lines around the mouth) or begin to cake over time, but this also comes down to how we apply, how diligent we are with moisturising our lips, and if we use lip liner. We're getting fancy for this week's DIY manicure with some added bling — diamante feature nails! You could go all the way and apply on all nails, but I decided to keep it simple, and fast. I purchased my diamantes at a craft store for (practically) peanuts, which makes this manicure not only easy to do, but affordable as well. I used a base coat, two coats of Kit Cosmetics nail polish in New Attitude ($15.95) and finished with a generous application of Sally Hansen Mega Shine Extended Wear Top Coat ($12.28).
