Winter Wardrobe Essentials: Cosy Knits

Does the nip in the air leave you wondering what on EARTH you got around in last Winter? If there's one thing that's guaranteed to make you feel as snug as a bug in a cashmere rug, it's a decent knit. As cosy and comfy as a jumper will make you feel, be cautious of baggy, pilly, stretched out of shape sweaters from seasons past — knitwear often has a use by date. That in mind, we've scoured the shops (thanks ShopStyle!) to find the most stylish knits on the market, so you can add update your Winter Wardobe in a flash.
Trend Talk: Moschino Cheap and Chic Flats
Have you ever talked yourself out of a purchase? It's a fashion conundrum which I'm still learning to deal with. I was stalking the shoe section of Myer last week, ready to throw some cash down for one of those "what the hey" buys, when I saw some fabulously loud Moschino Cheap and Chic flats on sale. As I'm always on the hunt for the perfect pair of flats, I said a quiet little 'yipee' and skipped along to try them on, only to be confused by a pesky little seed of doubt in my head. The scenario went down a little like this:
Me: Yay, some colourful flats to brighten up my wardrobe. I love them!
My conscience: Woman, are you on crack? Since when has multi-coloured silk been welcome on your feet?
Me: But surely these are the type of shoes that Mischa Barton would kick around in!
My conscience: Mischa Barton? She lost her fashion mojo years ago!
This conversation went on for a while longer until I finally hit my limit and ran out of the store in a frenzy, sans shoes. There may have even been some tears and a few colourful words exchanged. Dramatic much? Myer has since sold out of my size, but luckily the colourful flats are still available online at Revolve Clothing. Now, what would Mischa do?
