Donning a deep-blue Versace
gown, Selena Gomez
went for a sleek silhouette with a hint of sex appeal that translated to her beauty look, too. Makeup artist Gita Bass created her sexy blue cat eye, while hairstylist Lona Vigi gave the starlet her sleek blow dry look for her ligher and slightly more red hair colour. Here's how they created her look.
To make sure Selena's skin was glowing, Bass first prepped her complexion with Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser ($3.99), and then she applied Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ($90) to even out her skin. "After moisturising, foundation will spread easily and stay on longer," Bass expalined.
Then, she focused on creating a navy eye makeup look inspired by the intricate corset in her dress. Bass used Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in Navy Blue to line and define her eyes and finished with multiple coats of mascara. The final touch was the Tom Ford Lip Color in Black Orchid ($65) for a nice contrast.
Considering the exposed corset of her dress, Selena opted to keep her hair simple and glossy. Vigi started off with a blend of Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Original Formula ($5.99) and Straight Fixation Smoothing Crème ($10.99) and applied it to her wet strands for shiny, frizz-free hair. Next she blow dried Selena's hair using a round brush and the Harry Josh Pro Tools Pro Dryer. Once her hair was completely dry, Vigi finished the look with Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Crème ($10.99) for that silky smooth finish.
