After a few years in the beauty biz, I have my PAR-TAY makeup look down pat. It goes a lil' something like this. If I know they'll be cute guys there: a red lip. ALWAYS. Works like a charm. If it's an I-don't-know-anyone-here affair, I always opt for killer skin (thank you, NARS Orgasm Illuminator) and a winged eye. Easy. And then for everything else, I go statement lip. Usually fuchsia. It says fun times. I don't think I've ever been to a party and not worn makeup. To be honest the idea fills me with dread. I'm all for resting your skin and popping out to get some milk and a paper bare-faced on a Sunday, but to a party, I like to bring my A-Game. But seems celebs are trying to buck that trend and make us go makeup-free. Because those cool cats Dree Hemingway and Sienna Miller both turned up to events recently wearing nothing. They were NUDE. (Well on their faces.) What say you . . . is it a trend you'll dabble with?

What a freakin' jolly good way to start the day, huh? Sadly it does mean a Group Trip to NYC, but really, when can heading to the Big Apple ever be deemed a bad thing. NARS' first boutique can be found on 413 Bleecker Street, in the West Village just a few short steps away from Marc Jacobs. Makes sense. They are besties. But hold your horses, it's not throwing open its doors until US Spring '11. Which is good. Because y'know we need to save money and plan what to buy. Not to mention what to wear. We hear Marcel Nars can be quite particular. During construction, the windows have been covered with images of dripping nail polishes — the new NARS Vintage Nail Polish Collection, a re-release of five cult polishes from the '90s that I am in LOVE with. As well as the products that you're already nuts for — Orgasm anyone? — the boutique will also stock "range of exclusive items." Stop it. We're dying already. Excited??
