It seems March is a very popular month amongst the beauty pack. It nearly broke our hearts narrowing down the top 10, must-have beauty products, so we decided to go to 15! There's a magical Spring 2013 colour collection from Yves Saint Laurent that will blow your mind, some rich and vampy new lipsticks from Tom Ford, a power serum packed full of vitamins from Dermalogica, a natural skincare range from Nivea, and so much more. Yes To Adds Grapefruit to Their Fruit Basket
The fruit basket at Yes to Carrots is growing with the introduction of their new line, Yes to Grapefruit. Each of the seven new offerings is designed to correct and repair discolouration. "A lot of customers are growing up with us and are now looking for something a little bit different," founder Ido Leffler told WWD. "[They are] starting to worry about how they look in regards to complexion." Grapefruit is a proven remedy for dark spots and has anti-inflammatory benefits, too. The line includes body wash, eye cream, serum, face scrub, body cream, face moisturiser, and the Yes To fan favourite, cleansing wipes. The products will be available in chemists in the US from this March, but we'll keep you posted on Australian on-sale dates. Even as Yes To grows, the brand maintains its devotion to natural beauty (some products are up to 99 percent natural). If you snubbed carrots, passed on tomatoes, side-stepped cucumbers, and brushed off blueberries, the tropical scent and bright packaging will have you saying Yes To grapefruit!

2012 BellaSugar Australia Beauty Awards: Vote For the Best Serum
Serums are probably the fast-growing, yet sometimes misunderstood category in skincare. If I had a $1 for every time someone asked me if they really needed one and if they're really necessary, I'd be a rich little lady. The short answer I always give is yes. A big, fat YES. Because essential they're like a targeted treatment in a bottle. Containing more active ingredients than your regular cleanser or moisturiser, it's their sole job to fix problems. Be it lack of hydration, pigmentation, fine lines, enlarged pores. The list is endless. Which meant it was hard to filter them down to these short-listed finalists: Estée Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator, an oil-free serum pumped with antioxidants that imparts instant radiance, Ultraceuticals Even Skintone Serum which features a host of AHAs and BHAs to slough away dead skin cells and improve overall texture and tone, The Body Shop Nutriganics Drops of Youth which uses plant stem-cell technology to target the first signs of ageing, Lancôme Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector, a skin transformer that minimises the appearance of wrinkles and tightens and reduces pores, L’Oréal Paris Youth Code Luminosity Day Serum which combines lumi-gen technology and Anderson liquid to improve luminosity, Dermalogica Overnight Repair Serum, a peptide-rich formula that nourishes and repairs overnight and Yves Saint Laurent Forever Youth Liberator Serum which is infused with glycans to reduce fine lines. 2012 BellaSugar Australia Beauty Awards: Vote For the Best SerumWIN a Bottle of Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair
Backstage at Fashion Week, Estée Lauder Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux likes to prep the skin by mixing Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair with a dab of moisturiser. Why? Because, when the winning combination is massaged into skin, it creates that beautiful lit-from-within glow. But it does much more than just make the skin look good. As Pecheux — who helms the makeup team at shows such as Derek Lam and Doo.Ri — says, it “brings skin back to life.”
The first company to introduce the repair category back in 1982, repair serums feature concentrated active ingredients to target specific concerns such as ageing. Advanced Night Repair has been clinically proven to not only repair past damage (think wrinkles, age spots and dryness), but to protect against future damage for younger, smoother, more radiant looking skin.
Repair serum couldn’t be easier to introduce to your regime — you apply it to freshly-cleansed skin before your moisturiser. You can also mix a little into your foundation to give an additional boost of radiance. That’s another Pecheux trick.
You could WIN a bottle of the award-winning Advanced Night Repair simply by liking the Estée Lauder Facebook page and leaving a Drop of Advice you live by. Plus every entry receives a FREE deluxe sample!

Is your skin tired and lacklustre? Do you have an uneven complexion and texture? All of these are signs that your skin is fatigued. So how can you give it a much-needed boost? Hold on to your hats, here comes the science. Mitochondria is the technical term for the structure inside your skin cells that's responsible for producing all the energy that they need to function and repair. But the stresses of modern life — pollution, UV rays and poor diet — can cause the mitochondria's two key functions (energy producing and detoxifying) to be damaged. The result? You'll feel tired, and start to look it too!
