So you jumped on the undercut bandwagon, now what? Growing out shaved sides or even a short pixie doesn't have to be a painful process; just follow Rosario Dawson's example. Rosario covered her shorter side with a side-swept chignon at the Trance London premiere this week Her polished look is just one way to disguise shaved hair. Ursula Stephen, the stylist behind Rihanna's famous undercut, shares her tips for lengthening the look gracefully.
In the August Issue of Russh, They Shaved a Model's Head
For the most part, hairstylists aren't allowed to do anything too dramatic to a model's look on a shoot. Unless, of course, you're shooting for Russh. In their August issue out tomorrow with Cara Delevingne on the cover (you can watch her being all amazing and floaty here), hairstylist to the stars, Renya Xydis, shaves model Suzi Leenaars' head. To be fair, the blonde was already sporting quite the cool buzz cut when she arrived on set, but still — how rock star! Photographed by Stephen Ward, styled by Billie Iveson and makeup by Victoria Baron; click through to see the beauty shoot we're all talking about this week.

Rooney Mara Talks Tattoos, Piercings and Haircuts in Allure
Girl-of-the-moment Rooney Mara gets snapped by Michael Thompson for the January issue of Allure magazine — and we almost didn't recognise her! Gone are the bleached brows, piercings and bowl-style fringe that she adopted for the role of Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Mara fully threw herself into the transformation, a decision, she tells the magazine, that paid off, allowing her to feel comfortable whilst shooting naked scenes: "Because of all the tattoos and the makeup and the piercings, and the physical transformations my body has to go through, it would always feel sort of like I was in costume, even if I was naked." As for chopping her hair, "People always ask, 'Were you crying when they cut your hair?' And it didn't freak me out at all. I was really happy to do it." Nothing fazes Rooney Mara.
The Greatest Shave? Kellan Lutz Debuts a New Haircut
Kellan Lutz has been switching between blonde and brunette ever since he’s been in the spotlight but now it’s the haircut, not colour, that he’s changing. Currently holidaying in Sydney alongside his Aussie girlfriend Sharni Vinson, Kellan took to Twitter yesterday to farewell his dark hair, saving it into a Mohawk, before going one step further and shaving it all off. He says of his new look: “Love swimming in the ocean here in Australia with my shaved head. Brings back a lot of Great Generation Kill memories!” Fans of Kellan will of course remember that back in ’08 he wore a similar style as he was filming the TV mini-series Great Generation Kill in which he played a soldier in Baghdad in 2003. What do you think of his new shaved head?
Happy 30th Birthday, Natalie Portman!
Happy Birthday, Natalie! The stunning actress turns 30 today and not only has she got that whole pregnancy glow going on, she's also donned a string of enviable hair and makeup looks throughout her burgeoning career. Her natural, delicate beauty paired with the pixie cut she sported after shaving her head for V for Vendetta are reminiscent of a modern-day Audrey Hepburn. The face of Miss Dior Chérie once said she feels "like a clown" when she wears lipstick, but we love how a pop of pink or a vibrant berry hue vamps up her natural beauty. From chic ponytails and rosy cheeks to French rolls, let's take a look through her beauty arsenal, shall we? Walk right this way . . .
Would You Shave Your Head on The Amazing Race to Win?

On last night's episode of The Amazing Race Australia, competitive couple Richard and Joey decided to get ahead of the pack by taking up the option of a Fast Forward, which would see them check into the pit stop in first place if . . . they both shaved their head like Buddhist monks. Given that Joey has hair extensions because she's been trying to grow her hair for years, we thought she might struggle with the whole concept of spiritual growth vs. outer beauty more than she actually did (especially as she's taken her hair straighteners with her) but props to her, she got stuck in and shaved it all off. Richard was helpfully yelling "You rock, Joey," and told her that she looked "hot" before getting seriously excited that they could dump the hair straighteners, making their bags 2kg lighter. Somehow we can't imagine Nathan and Tyler stepping up to shave their surfer locks off so we're proud of courageous Joey, but would you have done what she did? Or would you rather finish up last and still have your hair in place?
Love It or Hate It: Bieber Goes Bald on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Do you reckon that Bieber Fever would have swept the world if it wasn't for his hair? That's the question that Jimmy Kimmel wanted to put to the world when he shaved Justin Bieber's hair on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week. JB said: “I like it, they'll [the girls] just focus on my beautiful silky smooth vocals.” Oh, baby. Saying that his new style would help him to "be more aerodynamic on the basketball court," he agreed that "the girls will be upset" by it. But fans of the Bieb (and his strands) can chillax. It was only a prank. C'mon, breath now, ladies. But do you think Justin pulls off Bruce Willis bald? Or should he stick to his eye-grazing strands?
2010 Melbourne Cup: Does Kris Look Better With Hair or Not?

I'm not sure if it's a style choice or the fact that he's got more important things on his mind — like baby Ethan or hunting down Jay Kay after he was mean to his girl on X Factor — but Kris Smith has been SLACK at tending to his tresses. He used to sport a shaved head which totally worked for him: it landed him Dannii and a MYER modelling contract. But now he's decided to grow it and make the front a bit piecey. Just check him out at the Melbourne Cup. Huh. Look, the dude could never look bad, but I'm kinda digging his ol' buzz cut style more. You?

Should Matthew Morrison Shave His Head For the Britney Ep?
Glee hottie Matthew Morrison famously landed himself in hot water when he said he didn't want to do a Britney-inspired episode of the hit show, but it seems he's gotten over it. He recently told E! “I like Britney. I got in trouble earlier for comments I made saying I’m anti-Britney, but I’m not. I think in this episode, they’re going to mirror those comments and I’m going to be very anti-Britney in the episode because I don’t like what she represents . . . It’s gonna be a lot of fun and some crazy stuff is gonna happen.” And we think we know what that "crazy stuff" is. Justjared is reporting that Matt is going to shave his head for the upcoming Brit episode. There's been no confirmation or deets released on how it'll happen — if indeed it does — but do you think he should do it? Or steer clear?
